The McLaren W1 will make its public debut in the Americas at Exotics on Broadway on Saturday, August 16th. It will be joined by McLaren’s newest special edition, the McLaren 750S Le Mans and a special States of Endurance Artura Spider.

“Monterey Car Week is always a great opportunity for us to engage with clients, prospects and enthusiasts alike. To that end, we’re thrilled to take the McLaren W1 to ‘Exotics on Broadway,’ where fans will be able to see it on display for the first time publicly in the Americas. The W1 is a very special supercar, tied to McLaren’s World Championship mindset in Formula 1. The 750S Le Mans and the ‘States of Endurance’ Artura Spider both also tie into McLaren’s storied motorsports history. We’re looking forward to enthusiasts of the brand seeing all three of these special cars.” Nicolas Brown, President, McLaren, The Americas.

McLaren W1: Americas Debut

The McLaren W1 made its global debut in October 2024 and will be seen publicly for the first time in the Americas during Monterey Car Week. The W1 is the ground-breaking successor to two of the greatest supercars of all time – the McLaren F1 and McLaren P1TM – and opens a new chapter in McLaren’s famous ‘1’ car lineage. Featuring a V8 hybrid powertrain with 1,275PS – the highest power output of any McLaren ever and greater than all core competitors – the W1 is the fastest-accelerating and fastest-lapping road-legal McLaren ever, achieving the astonishing combination of being quicker than a Speedtail to 300km/h (186mph) in a straight-line and 3 seconds a lap ahead of a McLaren Senna on McLaren’s reference track. Full information on the McLaren W1 can be found here.

750S Le Mans: Celebrating 30 Years Since Victory

Also on display for the first time in the Americas is the McLaren 750S Le Mans, a special edition 750S coupe celebrating the 30th anniversary of McLaren’s 24 Hours of Le Mans win in 1995. Paying homage to the iconic #59 F1 GTR, the 750S Le Mans is offered with a Le Mans Grey exterior paint – the option of McLaren Orange is also available – and features a roof scoop and 5-spoke LM wheels. More exciting is the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) High Downforce Kit (HDK), which adds visual drama to the 750S with a raised carbon fibre Active Rear Spoiler featuring integral endplates. The front bumper features an enlarged carbon fibre splitter, increasing downforce by 10 percent compared to the standard 750S, enhancing track performance and echoing the famous McLaren F1 LM edition’s aerodynamic additions. Completing the HDK package is a new body-colored carbon fibre under-wing panel featuring gloss black louvres. More information can be found here.

States of Endurance: A Coast-to-Coast Tribute

The weekend will also serve as a launch pad for States of Endurance, a celebration of the 30th anniversary of McLaren’s 1995 Le Mans victory that will see road cars – the McLaren Artura Spider and McLaren 750S – drive across the country from Monterey to Miami, roughly the distance covered in the 24hour race, with a variety of stops and engagements along the way. On display at Exotics on Broadway is one of the three road cars – an Artura Spider in a special wrap meant to emulate the daytime driving experience of a 24-hour race. Two 750S supercars will also join the journey, each in its own wrap, one inspired by the dawn, and the other by the night.

When you think of the most iconic Ferraris ever made, the F40 isn’t just on the list, it defines it. Unveiled in 1987 to celebrate the brand’s 40th anniversary, the F40 was the final car personally approved by Enzo Ferrari himself, and it shows. Built with racing in its DNA, this was no polished luxury GT, it was raw, radical, and unapologetically extreme.

Born from the ashes of the canceled FIA Group B rally class, the F40 was originally based on the already insane 288 GTO Evoluzione. With a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V8 pushing 478 horsepower and 425 lb-ft of torque, it could rocket from 0–60 mph in 3.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 201 mph — jaw-dropping numbers for the late ’80s, and still impressive today.

Its lightweight chassis featured a steel tube frame, race-tuned suspension, and four-caliper ventilated disc brakes. The body, designed by Pietro Camardella under the direction of Ferrari design legend Leonardo Fioravanti, was wind-tunnel tested at Pininfarina and made from a mix of Kevlar and carbon fiber. The result? A chassis 20% lighter and three times stiffer than traditional builds.

The F40 looked every bit the race car it was meant to be. Its sharp, wedge-shaped silhouette, massive rear wing, and NACA ducts made it clear this was a machine built for speed — not comfort. Inside, the spartan cockpit ditched luxury in favor of weight savings: plastic composite bucket seats, cloth upholstery, drilled pedals, pull-strap doors, and even Perspex sliding windows.

Initially, Ferrari planned to build just 400 units. But demand exploded, and by the time production ended in 1992, 1,315 F40s had left Maranello. Along the way, the F40 underwent minor changes to meet global safety and emissions standards — some models gained catalytic converters and an optional adjustable suspension system. These features made the car more street-friendly, but purists often prefer the earliest “non-cat, non-adjust” cars for their rawer driving experience and better reliability.

Today, the Ferrari F40 remains a benchmark in the world of supercars. It was brutal, beautiful, and borderline terrifying, a machine that demanded skill and rewarded bravery. For many, it’s still the gold standard: the hypercar that showed the world just how far Ferrari was willing to go, and at the time of writing, there is one listed for sale on Craigslist, at a staggering $5,000,000 asking price, and yes, it’s for real, it’s not a scam, but there is a story behind this one.

Chassis 86230 is a 1990 Ferrari F40 (Type F120) finished in original Rosso Corsa. More importantly, this is a US-spec car, originally delivered in Southern California, one of only 213 units that left the factory in Maranello as a US-spec F40. While this car shows 7,430 miles from new today, it’s still an opportunity of a lifetime to find such a rarity for sale; most Ferrari F40s are stored away in private collections. Their value just keeps rising with every single day that passes; these will be worth $5,000,000 at some point in the future, but perhaps not today, so why is the Craigslist listing for that amount?

The sale of this specific Ferrari F40 has been ordered by the court, and the people who’ve listed the car on Craigslist are in fact the court-appointed broker of record to sell this vehicle for the US Federal Court Central District of California, Northern Division. The final sale will occur in the US Federal Court in Santa Barbara, CA on August 12th, 2025 at 1 pm PST with bidding via Zoom or in person. There is an opening bid for the Asset made by RM Auctions Inc. d.b.a RM Sotheby’s and contracted in the amount of $2,555,000.00 USD.

The Federal Judge has authorized the broker to sell this very special Ferrari F40 at a buy-it-now valuation of $5,000,000.00 USD, hence the listing on Craigslist, a buy-it-now purchaser would immediately cancel the auction on the TBD date of sale and upon full payment transfer ownership to the buy-it-now purchaser, but you can also become an overbidder at $2,600,000.00 USD, just check out the official website for this sale at F40ForSale.com.

If you would like to see more about this 1990 Ferrari F40, and even hear the V8 rumble, take a look at this YouTube video from Emilia Hartford when she goes to take a look at the car, and even makes an offer to buy it:

KAMManufaktur is back with another masterstroke, meet the 912T, a beautifully reimagined touring version of the iconic Porsche 912, engineered for those who appreciate the art of the journey just as much as the thrill of the drive.

Following the success of the razor-sharp 912C, KAMM’s latest creation blends the same minimalist performance DNA with a newfound sense of comfort and refinement. Think classic silhouette, carbon fiber bodywork, and precision-tuned mechanics — now with a touch of grand touring class.

“The 912C was our no-compromise performance build — aimed at purists and track-day enthusiasts,” says Miklós Kázmér, KAMM’s founder and CEO. “But some clients wanted something a little more laid-back. So we created the 912T — a driver’s car that doesn’t sacrifice soul for softness.”

Still impressively lightweight at just 860kg, the 912T is about 100kg lighter than the original 912 despite its extra comfort features. That weight savings is thanks in large part to KAMM’s in-house carbon fiber craftsmanship — covering everything from the bumpers to the boot lid. Metal doors and glass windows remain, giving the cabin a more refined, road-trip-ready feel.

Under the hood is KAMM’s fettled version of the classic ‘616’ four-cylinder engine, producing 163hp and 201Nm of torque. It’s paired with a recalibrated transmission for smoother power delivery and a non-valved exhaust that keeps things relaxed on long drives, but still delivers thrills when you want them.

Suspension is handled by a custom Tractive one-way setup, tuned for a more forgiving ride without compromising the car’s legendary balance. Wheel options include classic 15-inch Fuchs alloys or KAMM’s own cool-as-hell ‘steelies’ look.

Inside, comfort takes center stage. The Fusina-crafted seats are more plush than the 912C’s, and bespoke Smiths instruments set the tone on the minimalist dash. A hidden audio system, wireless charging, and premium trim options round out the experience, all subtly integrated to maintain that analog vibe.

Limited to just five builds per batch, the KAMM 912T starts at €245,000 (excluding the donor car), with production kicking off in early 2026. Want in? A €10,000 deposit secures your build slot.

KAMM calls it a “timeless sports tourer”, and they’re not wrong. With the 912T, they’ve managed to preserve the essence of the original while adding just the right amount of modern-day civility. It’s a car that begs to be driven hard when you want, and easy when you need. Dare to Drive, indeed.

Highlights
  • British Hypercar extends unbroken points run with sixth top-10 finish
  • Works drivers Ross Gunn and Roman De Angelis shine as Aston Martin THOR team builds on promising performance through weekend
  • Valkyrie is the only hypercar to contest the world’s two premier sportscar series, IMSA and the FIA World Endurance Championship, this season

Best Finish Yet

The spectacular new Aston Martin Valkyrie achieved its best finish yet in global endurance competition last weekend, when it placed sixth in the latest round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (IMSA) – the Motul Sportscar Grand Prix of Road America (WI).

The result marked the sixth consecutive top ten finish for the British hypercar in IMSA, extending its remarkable points run and maintaining its 100% finishing record on its debut season in North America’s premier endurance series. Sunday’s result was the best IMSA finish ever recorded by a car built to ‘Le Mans Hypercar’ (LMH) regulations, Valkyrie being the only car in IMSA’s premier GTP category derived from a road-legal hypercar.

The British contender is also the first LMH car of any kind to compete in IMSA, and the only one contesting both IMSA and the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) simultaneously, having made its competition debut in the Qatar 1812km in February.

The Aston Martin THOR Team (THOR) and works drivers Roman De Angelis (CAN) and Ross Gunn (GBR), delivered a solid and competitive performance in an incident-filled two hour and 40-minute race, consistently running close enough to the leaders to pounce on rivals when they hit trouble. And in an event featuring no less than four Full Course Yellow (FCY) periods (where the race was neutralized and run behind the Safety Car), this happened on more than one occasion.

Valkyrie showed promise all weekend, having set the second fastest time in free practice on Friday. Gunn then qualified the #23 Valkyrie 10th for the race, less than 0.7s off the pole position time in a highly competitive 15-minutes GTP-only session on the long and challenging 4.05-mile circuit.

THOR opted to keep Gunn on track during the first FCY as others pitted early in the race, giving Valkyrie a competitive track position it then maintained for much of the race. In De Angelis’s hands Valkyrie then ran as high as fifth as the event moved through its various FCY phases and teams deployed diverse strategies. But in the final uninterrupted 40-minute run to the flag, the British hypercar more than held its own and even extended its advantage over the chasing pack to finish a comfortable sixth, 16.5s behind the winner.

Valkyrie’s next race in IMSA takes place at the world-famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, in the 6 Hour ‘Battle on the Bricks’ from 19-21 September.

The Apollo Intensa Emozione, or “IE,” is one of the most dramatic hypercars ever produced. Built by Apollo Automobili in partnership with Manifattura Automobili Torino, this extreme machine is limited to just ten units worldwide, with only four delivered to the United States.

A pure celebration of analog driving, the IE combines motorsport-grade hardware, a naturally aspirated V12 engine, and a carbon-fiber monocoque to deliver visceral performance and styling inspired by nature, science fiction, and Le Mans prototypes.

Power comes from a 6.3-liter V12 engine developed in collaboration with Autotecnica Motori, producing 780 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 760 Nm of torque. Mated to a 6-speed Hewland sequential transmission, the IE launches from 0–60 mph in just 2.7 seconds and tops out at 217 mph.

Its pushrod suspension, featuring Bilstein three-way adjustability, and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes ensure race-ready handling and stopping power. The design, crafted from exposed carbon fiber, generates 1,350 kg of downforce at 299 km/h and features organic, flowing surfaces, making it both functional and otherworldly.

This particular example, dubbed Ocean Dragon, was delivered new in June 2023 and made its debut at the Concorso Ferrari in Connecticut before appearing at Monterey Car Week. Its color-shifting bare carbon body transitions from deep blue to green, embodying its aquatic namesake.

With just 340 miles, the car was partially disassembled during a personalization project and will require mechanical recommissioning and interior completion. Offered with key components and spares, it presents an opportunity to finish one of the world’s rarest hypercars to taste.

Bonhams Cars will offer this 2022 Apollo Intensa Emozione “Ocean Dragon” at The Quail Auction on August 15, with an estimated price of $2,500,000–$3,500,000.

This 2014 McLaren P1, chassis number 2, is an exceptional example of the hybrid hypercar that redefined performance in the last decade. Originally finished in painted carbon fiber and delivered through McLaren Greenwich in Connecticut, the car was later returned to the factory in 2015 for a conversion to exposed carbon fiber. Only four or five P1s were factory-built with this finish after production ended, and this is the sole example that was converted from painted to exposed carbon fibre by McLaren itself.

Beneath its striking green exposed carbon fiber exterior lies a complex and highly advanced machine. The P1 combines a 3.8L twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 727 hp with a 177 hp electric motor, integrated into a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Total output is 903 HP and over 700 lb-ft of torque. Inspired by Formula 1, it uses IPAS for instant power delivery and DRS for enhanced straight-line speed. Performance is staggering: 0–60 MPH in 2.7 seconds and 0–185 MPH in 16.5 seconds.

The P1’s MonoCage carbon monocoque weighs just 180 pounds and is reinforced with Kevlar. Advanced aerodynamics, including a RaceActive Chassis Control system and a massive adjustable rear wing, produce over 1,300 pounds of downforce at 160 MPH. The carbon-ceramic brakes, developed in collaboration with Akebono, enable the car to halt from 120 MPH in just 380 feet.

A green metallic lacquer complements the 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero tires, which tie them into the overall design. This colour theme continues inside with green carbon-fiber accents and contrast stitching on the black leather upholstery. True to McLaren’s driver-focused philosophy, the P1 features racing-style seats and purpose-built controls, while still offering comfort amenities like climate control, navigation, carpeting, and a premium Meridian audio system.

This 2014 McLaren P1 is currently up for grabs on Bring a Trailer, alongside a 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder and a 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari, as part of Silver Arrow Cars’ Hypercar Holy Trinity Collection.

In the heart of Sardinia’s summer glamour, Lamborghini has unveiled a stunning new take on its latest hybrid supercar—the Temerario Porto Cervo Edition. Launched in Italy’s ultra-luxurious coastal retreat of Porto Cervo, this one-off creation from Lamborghini’s Ad Personam division fuses jaw-dropping performance with Mediterranean elegance.

Ad Personam Magic: Where Performance Meets Personalization

Unveiled in front of 300 VIP guests at the exclusive Casa Fiorichiari in Twiga Club, the Temerario Porto Cervo was more than just a debut—it was a showpiece of how far Lamborghini’s bespoke program can go. With paintwork that reflects Sardinia’s iconic turquoise seas and brilliant skies, the car looks right at home both on coastal roads and beside luxury yachts.

Under the hood, it’s anything but laid-back. The Temerario’s new twin-turbo V8 hybrid powertrain pumps out a staggering 920 CV, placing it squarely at the top of the performance charts. This powerplant—developed in-house at Sant’Agata Bolognese—spins to a wild 10,000 rpm, making it the only production engine of its kind in the segment.

Design That Dazzles—By Day or Night

Dressed in a shimmering Grigio Serget, the bodywork features subtle blue metallic flakes that catch the sunlight in spectacular fashion. Gloss black lower panels and a Blu Royal pinstripe add contrast and aggression, especially across the rear wing. Carbon-effect elements on the front splitter, diffuser, and air scoops up the motorsport vibe, while matte black tailpipes and Velador wheels with blue brake calipers round off the bold aesthetic.

Inside, the cabin balances performance-focused materials with tailored luxury. Seats and trim are swathed in Grigio Octans leather and Corsa Tex, accented with Blu Nethuns stitching and embroidered logos. There’s even a stylized outline of the Temerario stitched into the door panel—a first for Lamborghini interiors.

Carbon fiber dominates the driver’s cockpit, from the center console to the steering wheel, while the Italian flag’s Tricolore subtly reminds you this beast was born with Italian passion. Two bespoke plaques add the final touch of exclusivity: one says “Ad Personam”, the other notes its debut at Porto Cervo 2025—which future owners can swap for a personalized message.

Temerario: The Final Piece in Lamborghini’s Hybrid Puzzle

With the Temerario, Lamborghini completes its transition to a fully hybrid performance lineup. It joins the already-legendary Revuelto (with a naturally aspirated V12 and 1,015 CV) and the new Urus SE, a plug-in hybrid Super SUV that puts down 800 CV and 950 Nm.

Where the Revuelto redefines exotic V12 performance, and the Urus SE delivers thrilling dynamics in SUV form, the Temerario is the new gold standard for V8 hybrids. It’s more than fast—it’s spacious, practical (for a supercar), and unmistakably Lamborghini in both form and function.

Earlier this year, the Ford Mustang GTD became the fastest American car to lap the Nürburgring Nordschleife, clocking a time of 6:52.072 and breaking the seven-minute barrier for the first time among American vehicles.

That record has now been surpassed by Chevrolet. The automaker brought its Corvette Z06, ZR1, and ZR1X to the 12.9-mile Nordschleife. Instead of relying on professional drivers, Chevrolet had three of its in-house engineers—none of them racecar drivers—set blistering lap times.

Drew Cattell, vehicle dynamics engineer for the ZR1X, piloted the electrified all-wheel-drive model to a stunning 6:49.275, earning the title of fastest lap by a non-professional driver and making the ZR1X the quickest American production car ever to lap the Nürburgring. Brian Wallace, ZR1 vehicle dynamics engineer, followed closely with a 6:50.763 lap in the 1,064-horsepower ZR1.

Meanwhile, the 670-horsepower Z06—powered by the most potent naturally aspirated V8 ever in a production car—recorded a 7:11.826 with vehicle performance manager Aaron Link at the wheel.
All three cars were U.S. production-spec models equipped only with Nürburgring-recommended safety modifications: a roll hoop, full-containment race seat, fire extinguisher, and six-point harness.

Chevrolet has also released a video on YouTube detailing their journey on this incredible achievement, which you can watch below.

One of just 50 road-going Maserati MC12 Stradale built to homologate the FIA GT1 championship-dominating racer, this example represents a rare opportunity to acquire a key piece of modern motorsport history.

Developed from the Ferrari Enzo, the MC12 features a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 producing 630 horsepower and 481 lb-ft of torque, mated to a six-speed paddle-shift gearbox. Constructed around a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis and equipped with pushrod suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes, it delivers performance on par with its Ferrari sibling while offering more downforce and exclusivity.

Finished in Bianco Fuji pearlescent white with signature blue accents over a Blu leather and BrighTex fabric interior, this 2005 example was designed to evoke Maserati’s storied racing heritage. The odometer indicates just over 11,500 kilometers at the time of cataloging.

Notably, the car underwent a comprehensive $70,000 mechanical recommissioning by GTO Engineering in July 2025, which included engine and transmission servicing, clutch replacement, and a refresh of the brake system, ensuring it was in peak condition.

Originally delivered to the U.S., chassis ZAMDF44B000012095 has resided on both coasts, receiving routine maintenance from marque specialists. The MC12’s blend of competition-derived engineering and dramatic road presence has cemented its reputation as a true modern homologation special.

This collector-grade Maserati MC12 Stradale will be offered at Broad Arrow Auctions’ Monterey sale on August 13, 2025, with an estimate of up to $5,500,000, offering a rare chance to own one of the 21st century’s most iconic supercars.

If the Ford Mustang GTD is still flying under your radar, then the latest take on the new American supercar will put you on red alert. The video starts off with F1 and automotive journalism legends—Max Verstappen and Chris Harris, respectively—speaking candidly about life and racing, while Chris drove the duo in the iconic Ford RS200. The next stop was at the nearby circuit, where a Ford Mustang GTD eagerly awaited their arrival.

This time, it’s Max’s turn to get into the driver’s seat where he pilots the 800 hp GT3 RS rival while Chris grimaces with delight as the more-than-willing passenger. During the lapping session, Max does lots of Max things, and Chris continues to show us why he is one of the most charismatic automotive personalities in the world. Hopefully we’ll see more from this newly formed dynamic duo in the future.

Following a successful debut, thrilling crowds at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the prototype Zenvo Aurora has now returned to Denmark as development continues to accelerate. While a milestone moment for the entire Zenvo Automotive  team, the public debut marked one of many development targets that the engineering team has already achieved. It was rightly celebrated at the Festival, and by the talented team in Præstø, Denmark by the factory-based team, but testing and engineering developments were immediately back underway as soon as the prototype had finished its public showing.

Such are the rigors of the development process, for Aurora Tur Validation Prototype 0 has already been assessed – with a clean bill of health. Having run fault-free, the quad-turbo V12 powerplant, housed inside the newly developed carbon structure, is now being reviewed and updated, with preparations for the next program requirements already underway.

“Our team is working flat out to keep momentum going. Goodwood was a huge moment for Zenvo Automotive, the project, and the entire team. I could not be prouder that we were able to properly celebrate what everyone has delivered to this point,” explains Chairman and Chief Commercial Officer, Jens Sverdrup, who unveiled the latest prototype alongside the Duke of Richmond. “However, this was just the latest in a long list of achievements that the dedicated team is working through ticking off. Public reaction was incredibly positive, but the work really starts now.”

Customer engagement has been a key part of the Aurora program since the outset, with the carefully selected retailer network working closely with Zenvo to provide updates and insights. As part of this continued program, development will shortly head Stateside, with confirmation of activation during Monterey’s infamous ‘Car Week’. Zenvo Automotive will, once again, be present and hosting guests looking to get a closer look at the Aurora, as it continues its progress towards production.

Lamborghini’s latest beast, the Temerario, made its roaring debut at Portugal’s legendary Estoril Circuit — and it wasn’t just for show. Over two adrenaline-packed weeks, journalists, dealer reps from 56 global markets, and even some lucky owners put the hybrid supercar through its paces on the 4.36 km track. The verdict? This isn’t just the future of Lamborghini — it’s a whole new level of performance.

Hand-built in Sant’Agata Bolognese, the Temerario is Lamborghini’s next-gen High-Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV). Under the hood — or more accurately, behind your head — is a brand-new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with three electric motors, pushing out a combined 920 CV and 800 Nm of torque. The V8 alone hits a mind-blowing 10,000 rpm — a first for any production supercar.

With 13 driving modes, including a brand-new Drift mode and Launch Control, the Temerario is tuned for everything from your morning commute to full-on track domination. The numbers speak for themselves:

  • 0–100 km/h in 2.7 seconds

  • 0–200 km/h in under 7.3 seconds

  • Top speed: 343 km/h

On Estoril’s 13 legendary corners — the same ones where Senna tested a V12 Lamborghini F1 engine back in ’93 — the Temerario showed off its improved handling and crazy aero upgrades. Thanks to its hybrid-optimized design, downforce is up by 103% over its predecessor — and an insane 158% with the Alleggerita lightweight package. That version drops over 25kg and boosts aero efficiency by 67%.

Drivers reported a razor-sharp response from the all-new 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, which is more compact and shifts quicker than ever. Even better? The Temerario can run fully electric and cut CO2 emissions by up to 50% compared to the last-gen model.

For track junkies and data nerds, the Lamborghini Telemetry 2.0 app logs everything: lap times, sector splits, even heart rate integration via Apple Watch. It’s not just about chasing numbers — it’s about improving as a driver, one corner at a time.

And if personalization is your thing, Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program offers over 400 exterior colors, liveries, and custom interiors. New materials like ultralight Corsa-Tex in Dinamica® microfiber add both flair and function.

Slide into the spacious cabin (yes, there’s more headroom now), and you’re greeted by Lamborghini’s signature mix of fighter-jet drama and premium finishes. The bespoke Sonus faber audio system — designed exclusively for Temerario — packs seven independently driven speakers powered by a 750W Class‑D Dual DSP amp. Translation? Huge sound. Zero fatigue. Full immersion.

Lamborghini tapped Bridgestone as the exclusive tire partner for the Temerario. The lineup includes custom-developed Potenza Sport tires for road use, Potenza Race rubber for the track, and Blizzak LM005 winter tires for year-round performance. Every tire was designed using Bridgestone’s Virtual Tyre Development tech — a win for both performance and sustainability.

Even the launch event at Estoril was certified under ISO 20121 for sustainable event management — part of Lamborghini’s push to align performance with responsibility. From reducing environmental impact to championing social responsibility, Lamborghini is clearly looking beyond lap times.

The Lamborghini Temerario isn’t just a new chapter — it’s a complete rewrite of what a hybrid supercar can be. Whether you’re chasing apexes, carving up back roads, or spec-ing your dream ride, this machine proves Lamborghini hasn’t just kept up — it’s lapped the competition.

The Lotus Evija, a fully electric hypercar and one of the most powerful production vehicles on the planet, has just carved its name into the history books — and it did so with a thunderous, tire-melting sprint. During Autocar’s definitive road test, the Evija didn’t just show up — it showed out, smashing multiple acceleration records and proving that electrification and raw performance can go hand-in-hand. Now that customer deliveries are underway, Autocar put the Evija through its paces in what’s widely considered the gold standard of performance benchmarking. The results? Nothing short of jaw-dropping.

The Evija is officially the fastest car to ever complete Autocar’s rigorous road test — a program that dates back to 1928. It clocked the fastest-ever 0–200 mph time, and obliterated all standing records for both the quarter-mile and standing kilometer runs. In mid-range acceleration, where true hypercar power becomes undeniable, the Evija pulled even further ahead. From 100–150 mph, it was a full three seconds quicker than any other car tested. From 150–200 mph? It widened the gap to a staggering five seconds. To put that in perspective: the Evija’s 150–180 mph sprint takes just 2.7 seconds — roughly the same time a high-performance sedan needs to get from 60–90 mph.

Autocar has only ever tested two other road-legal cars that could hit 200 mph from a standstill during their benchmarks. The Evija not only joins that elite club — it crushes expectations. It rockets past the 200 mph mark in under a kilometer and hits its top-speed limiter of 217.4 mph before many top-tier supercars even reach 180.

Autocar’s Road Test Editor, Matt Saunders, summed it up perfectly: “Hypercar makers some time back shifted their focus away from top speed as a distinguishing feature. Some have opted for outright circuit pace, but Lotus chose something powerful electric motors could be truly exceptional at: the 0–200 mph, standing-kilometre drag-strip blast. In 2011, the Bugatti Veyron cut the standard for that – as verified by this magazine in 1994 with the McLaren F1 – by 21%. In 2025, proportionally speaking, the Evija’s leap is twice that size.”

The Evija isn’t just a new chapter in performance — it’s a whole new book. And it’s written in pure electric power, just take a look at the Lotus Evija performance against some of the world’s highest-regarded hypercars:

Highlights
  • Single ownership and just 360 km (~224 mi.) from new
  • Desirable “non-cat, non-adjust” example
  • Recent emergence from long-term storage; never before seen publicly
  • A fascinating restoration opportunity for its next caretaker

40th anniversary milestone

As the progenitor of Ferrari’s flagship line of anniversary-celebrating hypercars, the F40 is undeniably one of the most special Prancing Horses ever produced. Essentially built to racing specifications with a twin-turbocharged V-8, aerodynamically perfected carbon fiber/Kevlar coachwork, and the barest modicum of cockpit trim, the F40 oozed Maranello’s racing DNA. It was not merely coincidental that this was the last model developed under Enzo Ferrari’s watchful eye, as the F40 exemplified the spirit of the Scuderia Ferrari’s finest competition machines.

Created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Maranello’s first model, the 125 S, the F40 sent a shockwave through the automotive establishment with its racing-specification drivetrain and aerodynamically advanced wedge shape. To this day the model remains one of Ferrari’s most captivating and impressively engineered supercars, continually inspiring new generations of enthusiasts.

Conception

As the F40 was originally conceived as a FIA Group B racecar, it was developed from the superlative 288 GTO to take on the likes of the Porsche 959. When the Group B class was canceled a short time later, Ferrari decided to use the five initial 288 GTO Evoluzione development cars as the basis for a new 40th-anniversary model, one that ultimately proved to be the last supercar devised under Enzo Ferrari’s stewardship.

As it was originally engineered for competition use, the F40 featured a race-developed steel tube-frame chassis with four-wheel double-wishbone independent suspension, coil-over Koni shock absorbers, and four-caliper ventilated disc brakes. Pietro Camardella’s body design, executed under the direction of Leonardo Fioravanti and aerodynamically perfected in Pininfarina’s wind tunnel, was built with paneling woven from Kevlar and carbon fiber, reducing curb weight by approximately 20 percent while simultaneously tripling the car’s structural rigidity.

The 288 GTO’s twin-turbocharged V-8 was bored to displace 2.9 liters and equipped with IHI turbochargers and Behr intercoolers. The resulting type F120 040 engine initially developed 478 horsepower and 425 pound-feet of torque, impressive power figures even by today’s standards. Mated to a five-speed transaxle actuated by a gated shifter, the V-8 was capable of launching the low-weight F40 to 60 mph from a standstill in just 3.8 seconds and an official top speed of 201 mph.

Cosmetically, the F40 amply reflected its basis in racecar development, with the lightweight aerodynamically perfected body peppered with air-channeling NACA ducts. The spartan interior design was equally thoughtful, featuring weight-reducing elements such as pull-strap door releases, drilled pedals, Perspex windows, and cloth upholstery on plastic-composite racing seats.

Publicly introduced at the 1987 Frankfurt Motor Show, the F40 was initially earmarked for a low production run of 400 examples, but skyrocketing customer interest prompted Ferrari to ultimately build 1,315 cars. While early examples epitomized the model’s no-compromise design philosophy, safety and emissions concerns eventually prompted changes that softened the hypercar’s spartan character. Roadgoing customers concerned with steep driveways were mollified with an optional self-leveling suspension that allowed the ride height to be adjusted, an innovative system that often proved to be more troublesome than worthwhile.

Meanwhile, tightening environmental regulations necessitated the implementation of catalytic converters for some markets, reducing the powerful drivetrain’s capacity to breathe. F40s without the adjustable suspension and catalytic converters—known in the Ferrari niche as “non-cat, non-adjust”—soon became highly prized for their superior handling and less-restricted engines, and these desirable examples now command a premium in today’s market.

35-Year Hibernation

This F40 is undoubtedly one of the last examples not only still being with its original owner but also having near delivery mileage. Completing assembly in February 1990, chassis number 84036 was specified as a European-market example with instruments in kilometers. As such, the car was built without catalytic converters and adjustable suspension, making it one of the prized “non-cat, non-adjust” chassis.

The Ferrari distributor for Southeast Asia delivered the car to its first and only owner who left it in static storage for 35 years. Under his care, it was kept out of public view and was never driven or even serviced. The car has remained unseen and completely off the radar its entire life.

With just 360 kilometers (~224 miles) on the odometer, this Ferrari displays remarkable originality, evident in factory markings and body numbers, including original blue stickers on the wheels (noting the wheel nuts were torqued on the assembly line), original 1989 date-coded tires, and original witness markings on all fittings. Under close examination, it is very clear that this F40 has never been disassembled and remains in incredibly original condition, with significant carbon weave visible throughout the car.

While this F40 was not used and kept in storage, please note that it would need significant restoration to be brought back to show-ready condition. Bidders should also note that while it has been cleaned, no attempt has been made to start the car since its emergence and a major service will be required should the next owner wish to drive it. A leak-down test was conducted in advance of the sale to test the integrity of the engine, with readings found to be 2% across all cylinders. Included with the sale are a set of F40 tools and books.

Make no mistake, chassis number 84036 offers a fantastic opportunity for F40 enthusiasts. It can be preserved as-is, in a testament to the car’s striking originality and recently discovered condition, or it can serve as a blank slate for restoration. This car offers an unparalleled platform for restoration, considering its utmost originality, and a history clear of any dramatic incidents.

In any event, this truly unique F40 stands to make a fascinating addition to any collection.

The TTS HayaBusa has a greater than one-to-one power ratio. Facing off against it is the Koenigsegg Jesko Attack with a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 making 1,200 horsepower on pump fuel (and up to 1,600 on ethanol).

As expected, traction was a key factor in the races. In multiple runs, the Hayabusa’s launch was unpredictable, with wheelies and a grabby clutch complicating the action. Despite Jesko’s massive power, it couldn’t quite overcome the Hayabusa’s power-to-weight advantage, falling just short in the best-of-three showdown.

A rare and extreme iteration of Lamborghini’s famed V12 supercar, this 2000 Lamborghini Diablo GT is number 67 of just 80 produced. It will be offered by RM Sotheby’s at their Monterey auction on August 15–16, with an estimated value of $1,300,000 to $1,600,000.

Built as a road-legal, track-focused version of the Diablo, the GT featured dramatic styling revisions—including a racing-style front air dam, wide OZ wheels, flared fenders, roof-mounted air intake, carbon fiber rear wing, and race-developed rear diffuser. Extensive carbon fiber panels and a stripped-down cabin, featuring racing seats, helped reduce the weight by over 260 pounds compared to the original Diablo.

Powered by a 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V12 producing 575 horsepower, the GT delivered 0–60 mph in 3.9 seconds and topped out at 210 mph. This particular example was originally delivered to Touring Auto in Milan and is finished in striking Arancio Atlas over an orange and black leather interior. It underwent a complete engine rebuild by Lamborghini St. Gallen in 2017 and, most recently, received annual servicing in 2024, which included fluid changes and system repairs.

With only around 3,000 Diablos produced in total, the GT’s limited run makes it one of the rarest and most sought-after Lamborghini models. Showing just over 63,000 kilometers (~39,500 miles), this Diablo GT represents a compelling opportunity for collectors seeking one of the most hardcore V12 Lamborghinis of the analog era.

Overview

A vehicle that could reach 400 km/h in the morning, yet be a picture of elegance driving to the opera in the evening. This was the dream of the ingenious Ferdinand Karl Piëch, then-Chairman of the Volkswagen Group. A visionary who, in 1997, began the journey of conceptualizing the Bugatti Veyron – a new breed of car, a hypercar, that could realize his ambition. Realizing such capability in a road-going vehicle had not been achieved in the history of the automobile. It was a monumental challenge that demanded a masterstroke of engineering and intelligent design; one that only the finest automotive minds could conquer.

A series of intractable physics problems stood in the way of Piëch, Bugatti’s master engineers, and creating what would become one of the most iconic vehicles of all time. Fundamentally, the marque would need to deliver a car that could withstand the immense forces subjected to it at a third of the speed of sound. That required a wholesale change in vehicle design approach – right down to the tires, none of which in existence could take on the challenge. The tires themselves aptly symbolized the scale of the task at hand – ultimately taking a supplier five years to develop a solution capable of managing the performance of Piëch’s vision.

W16 Masterpiece

The starting point for the vehicle, however, was the engineering marvel that would propel the Veyron at previously unimaginable speeds: its W16 engine. Newly developed from scratch, the W16 was designed with an 8.0-liter displacement, reinforced with four turbochargers and ten radiators to provide sufficient cooling. The result was a powerplant that could seamlessly deliver 1,001 PS at 6,000 rpm and 1,250 Nm of torque between 2,200 and 5,000 rpm – unprecedented numbers that required an equally momentous achievement in powertrain and drivetrain engineering to harness effectively. In turn, another first was required – a seven-speed, double-clutch DSG gearbox with lightning-fast yet smooth gearchanges that was specifically designed for the Veyron, and able to cope with its power and torque output.

Arranged longitudinally ahead of the W16 engine, the gearbox – just like the powerplant – was designed as a dry sump unit, playing a pivotal role in allowing Bugatti’s engineers to lower the car’s center of gravity. That decision was part of a critical program to equip the car with strong road-holding capability – a characteristic achieved through the combination of the immense dynamic tolerances of the fully integrated carbon fiber monocoque, aluminum chassis, and all-wheel drive drivetrain,

Employing a transmission unit integrated behind the front axle differential, the cutting-edge all-wheel drive system allows for perfect distribution of power between the front and rear axles, optimizing balance through challenging twists and turns – while a multi-disc transverse lock on the rear differential ensures peak traction coming out of them.

Acitve Aero

And yet, Ferdinand Piëch’s vision for the Veyron would be unachievable without a highly efficient yet beautiful design capable of working in harmony with the forces of air at high speed. At its core, integrated elegantly into the car’s smooth profile, is an adaptive aerodynamics system tested to perfection by Dr. Wolfgang Schreiber, then the head of development at Bugatti. Managed by a variable control system, the adaptive aerodynamics feature two diffuser flaps positioned ahead of the front wheels, as well as an integrated wing and spoiler at the rear of the car.

Supporting the Veyron’s unique carbon-ceramic, high-performance braking system, the rear aerofoil also utilizes the high wind resistance experienced at speeds over 200 km/h, becoming a formidable ‘air brake’. In ‘Handling’ configuration, the driver activates the system when a specific level of braking pressure is exceeded between 200 and 375 km/h, with the aerofoil shifting itself to an angle of 113 degrees to the direction of travel in just 0.4 seconds. The ingenious solution not only enhances wind resistance during significant braking but also generates 300 kilograms of downforce over the rear, reducing the wheel load displacement experienced during rapid deceleration and maintaining the vehicle’s hallmark stability.

Chasing 400 km/h

In every sense, reaching 400 km/h is a feat unlocked by the hypercar’s intelligent aerodynamics. Achieving this requires a conscious and deliberate decision by the driver, along with a specific vehicle setup. The Veyron is prepared for this extreme performance through the use of its bespoke ‘Speed Key’ – a secondary key that must be inserted into a cylinder to the left of the driver’s seat before setting off. Turning it, the vehicle hunkers down in a raked stance – its active suspension taking it a mere 65 millimeters above the ground at the front, and 70 millimeters at the back. While simultaneously, the front diffusers remain closed, and the angle of the rear wing arrangement is reduced – all to minimize air resistance.

Together, the concept of the Veyron’s immense power delivery and aerodynamic capability sets the car up for achieving the unthinkable. And precisely because of its unprecedented nature, the journey needed to be defined by a meticulous and extensive program of in-field testing. Eleven dedicated vehicle prototypes took up the mantle, together accumulating hundreds of thousands of kilometers in testing under the toughest conditions conjurable for the vehicle.

Rigorous Testing

While some cars underwent long-distance testing, others were subjected to a series of function tests, simulating the full gamut of driving scenarios to repeatedly test the vehicle’s range of operational systems and features. Even the notorious Green Hell, Germany’s Nürburgring, was called upon to test the Veyron’s mettle – with test vehicles amassing thousands of kilometers at full racing speed around the circuit.

Fittingly, the culmination of the Veyron achievement came in 2005, a matter of months before it entered full-scale production at Bugatti’s spiritual home in Molsheim. With the skilled hands of test driver Uwe Novacki at the wheel of the hypercar, the Veyron became etched into the annals of automotive history – the excellence of its engineering and design coming together to realize the 400 km/h dream, and earning an official top speed of 407 km/h. An accomplishment that saw the Veyron take its place, at that very moment, as the fastest production vehicle in history.

Christophe Piochon,  President of Bugatti Automobiles

“The Bugatti Veyron, and everything it has accomplished, stands as a monument to what makes our marque entirely unique. It began as a dream of Ferdinand Piëch – a dream that challenged perceived notions of intractable physics, and ultimately redefined the boundaries of possibility in not only automotive performance, but human achievement. At the same time, it is a vehicle that delivers supreme comfort, inimitable style, and exquisitely timeless design that inspires awe to this very day. It was the Veyron, and the incredible team behind its creation, that made such a combination possible. Twenty years on, it remains a profound source of pride – and will continue to inspire for generations to come.”

General Motors has pulled the wraps off the second of three upcoming Corvette design studies, and this one’s all about West Coast flair. Dubbed the California Corvette Concept, the sleek hypercar was developed at GM’s Advanced Design studio in Pasadena, blending iconic Corvette DNA with a futuristic SoCal twist.

Part of a global design challenge involving multiple GM studios, the California Corvette follows March’s UK-developed concept and continues GM’s mission to push the limits of performance design.

“Our Advanced Design teams are dedicated to shaping the future,” said Bryan Nesbitt, GM’s VP of Global Design. “This concept celebrates Corvette’s performance heritage while boldly reimagining what comes next.”

This concept isn’t headed for production—but that’s not the point. GM’s Pasadena team was given a clean slate and full creative freedom to rethink what a Corvette could be. The result? A wild, single-seat hypercar with a dramatic, front-hinged one-piece canopy that lifts to reveal a minimalist, driver-focused interior. The design allows the car to shift from sleek sports coupe to open-air track weapon in seconds.

“Southern California has been at the heart of automotive culture for over a century,” said Brian Smith, Design Director at GM Advanced Design Pasadena. “We approached this concept through that lens—with global performance and futuristic design at its core.”

The California Corvette Concept rides on a tunneled carbon tub chassis and features large staggered wheels—21 inches up front, 22 in the rear—with active aero, a rear air brake, and a prismatic T-shaped battery pack assumed to enable low seating and optimized airflow.

Key Dimensions:
Length: 182.5 in
Width: 86 in
Height: 41.4 in
Wheelbase: 109 in

Inside, it’s all about performance. Structural elements are fully integrated, and an augmented-reality HUD delivers essential data only—ideal for high-speed runs on track or simulation-inspired driving experiences.

Pasadena Studio: GM’s West Coast Design Powerhouse
The California Corvette Concept was born at GM’s 148,000-square-foot Advanced Design campus in Pasadena. With about 130 creatives and engineers, the facility is fully equipped for advanced modeling, concept fabrication, and design innovation—and plays a key role in GM’s global network of studios, including Detroit, Shanghai, Seoul, and the UK.

The Lamborghini Temerario has arrived, marking a bold new chapter for the brand as it replaces the Huracán as Lamborghini’s entry-level model, boasting over 900 horsepower and hybrid technology.

Unlike its aggressive predecessors, the Temerario ditches the exaggerated wings and sharp splitters in favor of a more elegant, coherent design. It’s sleeker, easier to get in and out of, and surprisingly practical—complete with a usable frunk and a plug-in hybrid system offering 10 km of EV-only range.

Power comes from a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 in a hot-V layout, paired with three electric motors—two up front and one at the rear—for a total system output north of 900 hp. This results in a 0–62 mph time of 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 213 mph.

A concave roof channels air over the engine bay, while hexagonal aero elements cool the brakes and maintain downforce. Even in its base form, the Temerario is track-capable. The optional Algarita lightweight package sheds 30 kg and boosts downforce by 63%, further enhancing performance.

Check out Top Gear‘s newest video on YouTube as they test the Lamborghini Temerario and see if it is an improvement, a step back, or simply different.

To be offered by RM Sotheby’s, this 1997 McLaren F1 comes with extraordinary provenance and a remarkably low 6,471 miles on the clock. Originally delivered new to Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison in Magnesium Silver with a black leather interior, it’s one of just seven Ameritech-modified F1s made road legal in the U.S., and among the rare few to remain in California since new.

Ellison retained the car for over a decade, logging under 2,600 miles before selling it to another Bay Area collector. It changed hands again in 2010, yet stayed in the region throughout—all three owners based in Silicon Valley.

The McLaren F1, designed by Gordon Murray and styled by Peter Stevens, broke ground in 1992 with its carbon-fiber monocoque, central seating, BMW-built 6.1L V12 producing 627 bhp, and obsessive engineering—no ABS, no traction control, just raw analog purity. It hit 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and topped out at 240 mph.

The car has received numerous McLaren Special Operations (MSO) upgrades over time, including improved air conditioning, upgraded radiators, aluminium fuel tanks, a sports exhaust, and meticulous factory servicing, most recently by McLaren Philadelphia in 2023 and 2024. Accompanied by an extensive history file, original accessories, and a clean cosmetic and mechanical report by a factory-authorized technician, this F1 remains in excellent condition.

Since its founding in 2015, Polo Storico has been the beating heart of Lamborghini’s heritage—a specialized department devoted to the preservation, restoration, and certification of historic Sant’Agata legends. In 2025, to mark its 10th anniversary, Lamborghini pulled back the curtain on this sacred space with an immersive, hands-on experience that brought classic car enthusiasts closer to the craft than ever before.

Rather than just touring the facility, a select group of guests from around the globe were invited to become Polo Storico technicians for a day. They rolled up their sleeves and worked alongside the experts—many of them former Lamborghini employees known as the Comitato dei Saggi (Experts Committee), who now serve as living encyclopedias of Lambo engineering and history.

The experience mimicked the department’s real-life workflow: from road testing vintage models across the winding roads of Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany, to analyzing documentation from Lamborghini’s extensive historical archives. Participants learned how to certify the authenticity of iconic models and even got hands-on in the workshop—turning wrenches on legendary machines.

Each team of two was assigned a historic car, including gems like a 1967 400 GT 2+2, 1990 Countach 25th Anniversary, 2001 Diablo SE 6.0, and a burly early-’90s LM 002. Their first task? A full road test and evaluation, using the same checklists Lamborghini’s own techs use before any restoration project.

Next came a deep dive into the archives, matching engine and chassis numbers, paint codes, and upholstery specs with original build sheets. This archival work was key in replicating Lamborghini’s rigorous certification process—an essential part of preserving each car’s authenticity and value.

Then came the shop floor. Participants tackled one of the most iconic Lamborghinis of all time—a 1973 Miura SV from the Lamborghini Museum. Tasks included removing and reinstalling the front left wheel using traditional tools like a cast-iron hammer to torque the center-lock nut, followed by verification with a modern torque wrench. The session also featured a masterclass in mechanical heritage: disassembling and reassembling a Weber twin-barrel carburetor from a Countach, a component known for its precision and performance.

But Lamborghini heritage doesn’t end with the cars themselves. Longtime tire partner Pirelli—who’s been with the brand since the 350 GTV prototype in 1963—also played a key role in the celebration. Through its Pirelli Foundation, the company shared insights into the recreation of original-spec tires for vintage Lambos. This includes models like the Cinturato CN12, brought back in 2021 for the reconstruction of the 1971 Countach LP 500, and the Scorpion BK, reintroduced in 2023 for the mighty LM002.

These aren’t just reproductions—they’re historical recreations engineered with modern technology. Through the Pirelli Collezione, classic Lamborghini owners can now run period-correct rubber that offers both original style and 21st-century safety.

Reflecting on how far Polo Storico has come, Alessandro Farmeschi, Lamborghini’s After Sales Director, summed it up best: “Ten years ago, we simply opened the doors. Now, we open the experience. What better way to share our passion and know-how than by putting enthusiasts right into the action?”

Final Thoughts

Lamborghini’s 10th anniversary celebration of Polo Storico wasn’t just a party—it was a hands-on tribute to craftsmanship, legacy, and the power of preserving the past to inspire the future. Whether it’s a Miura, a Diablo, or a thundering LM002, these machines live on thanks to the meticulous care and passion of the people behind the scenes.

For fans of the Raging Bull, it’s another reminder that Lamborghini isn’t just about going fast—it’s about honoring the road that got us here.

One of fewer than 50 ever built, this 2010 Ferrari 599XX equipped with the coveted Evo package is an ultra-rare, factory-developed track car born from Ferrari’s XX Programme—an elite, invitation-only initiative reserved for the brand’s most loyal clients. Based on the 599 GTB Fiorano but heavily reengineered, the 599XX Evo is not street legal and was never offered for public sale. Instead, Ferrari assigned cars to Corse Clienti members for use in exclusive track events worldwide.

The Evo upgrade, introduced in 2011, elevated the car’s 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V-12 to 740 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, with a redline of 9,000 rpm. Key enhancements included a shortened final drive, Formula One-inspired active aerodynamics with a DRS-equipped twin-profile rear wing, revised suspension, lightweight side-exit exhaust, and bespoke Pirelli slicks. With a Fiorano lap time of just 1:15, it outpaced even the Ferrari Enzo.

This car is finished in Rosso Fuoco, featuring a silver roof and rear wing, and is equipped with the rare Evo upgrade package. That package brought active aerodynamics—including a Formula One-style DRS rear wing—along with revised suspension, lightweight exhaust, and custom Pirelli racing slicks. Lap times at Ferrari’s Fiorano test track dropped to just 1:15, quicker than the Enzo and on par with GT-class racers.

Delivered new to a member of Ferrari’s exclusive Corse Clienti program, chassis 175808 participated in Ferrari-run track events at circuits such as Nürburgring, Silverstone, Mugello, and Daytona. Like all XX Programme cars, it was maintained and transported by Ferrari, with telemetry and engineering support included.

Accompanied by two specialized racing flight cases, this 599XX Evo will be offered by RM Sotheby’s at their Monterey auction on August 15–16 and could fetch as much as $3,500,000.

Every Bugatti is a carefully balanced composition where design, performance and innovation are meticulously coordinated to create something greater than the sum of its parts. In the Tourbillon¹, this approach is taken further than ever before. Episode 9 of the ‘Bugatti: A New Era’ documentary series, now available on YouTube, explores the hypercar’s packaging. It is a story not just of engineering, but of thoughtful architecture and aerodynamic intent, where every element plays a role in achieving the Tourbillon’s extraordinary performance.

‘When you develop a car, especially from scratch, you can never look at a single component individually without taking the whole context of the car into account.’ Mate Rimac, CEO of Bugatti Rimac.

Venturi tunnels

The Tourbillon’s packaging represents a dramatic shift: the new V16 engine, longer and narrower than the outgoing W16, is mounted at an angle. This change, while subtle in appearance, is profound in impact, allowing the engineers to create super-long Venturi tunnels for the diffuser, which starts beneath the cabin and extends nearly halfway down the vehicle’s length.

These tunnels are crucial to the car’s aerodynamic efficiency, as they generate significant downforce from beneath the car rather than relying on wings above. This approach delivers more downforce with less drag, allowing the Tourbillon to reach its maximum speed without deploying the rear wing. The massive diffuser is only possible thanks to an innovative powertrain layout. The gearbox, traditionally placed in front of the engine, now sits behind it. The front axle is powered independently by dual electric motors, which means there is no physical, mechanical connection between the engine and the front wheels. Between the front and rear motors sits a compact battery, enabling more efficient packaging and optimal weight distribution.

Aero

This redesign also allowed for a reduction in frontal area – something that was essential for a hypercar aiming to surpass the Chiron²’s speed benchmarks.

‘People sometimes forget that total dynamic resistance of a car is the drag coefficient times the frontal area. So, it’s really important to reduce the frontal area, especially for a hypercar that goes the speeds that we do.’ Mate Rimac, CEO of Bugatti Rimac.

Aerodynamics, thermodynamics and structure converge at the front, where the iconic Bugatti horseshoe is more than just a design motif. It serves as an interface for cooling. Even in its naked form, without bodywork, the Bugatti horseshoe remains. Air flows from the grille, past the luggage compartment, cooling the front electric axle, the battery and the brake system. To the left and right of the grille is the cooling for the combustion engine.

The rear of the hypercar exemplifies Bugatti’s integration philosophy. Where most vehicles use a solid crash beam, the Tourbillon’s rear diffuser itself incorporates two state-of-the-art 3D-printed metal structures that are engineered to absorb crash energy.

Suspension

Another distinct detail in the Tourbillon’s packaging is the suspension design, which features airfoil-shaped components partially exposed to airflow to support aerodynamic efficiency. Traditional components would disrupt airflow, but Bugatti’s use of 3D printing and AI-driven design optimization enables strong yet aerodynamic wishbones.

Software and AI are optimizing the shape of Bugatti’s parts. In the Tourbillon, it allowed the engineers to remove material atom by atom, leaving only what is absolutely necessary. In areas like the upper suspension components, this results in organic microstructures engineered for maximum strength and minimal weight.

From the angled V16 engine to the topologically optimized suspension, the Tourbillon’s packaging is more than engineering, it is Bugatti philosophy in practice. Every decision was made to ensure a holistic, integrated machine. The result is a hypercar that pushes not just what’s possible in automotive design, but what’s imaginable.

‘The Bugatti Tourbillon focuses on both individual components and how they work together to enhance to the overall car in terms of weight, packaging space, aerodynamic efficiency, downforce, performance. It was not an easy task for the team, but the result is outstanding.’ Mate Rimac, CEO of Bugatti Rimac

Broad Arrow Auctions—part of the Hagerty (NYSE: HGTY) family—is revving up for a landmark event at the 2025 Monterey Jet Center Auction, and at the heart of it all is a crown jewel of 1990s performance: the 1998 RUF CTR 2 Sport, estimated at $3M–$3.5M. For collectors, RUF devotees, and air-cooled aficionados alike, this is a once-in-a-generation offering.

The Apex of Air-Cooled Performance
Following in the tire marks of the legendary Yellowbird, RUF’s CTR 2 was no mere sequel—it was a revolution. Built on the Porsche 993 platform and infused with Group C DNA via a 3.6-liter twin-turbo flat-six inspired by the Porsche 962, the CTR 2 pumped out a staggering 580 horsepower and 505 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a RUF six-speed manual, it rocketed from 0–60 mph in 3.6 seconds and topped out at 217 mph—making it the fastest production car in the world when it launched.

But Alois Ruf wasn’t done. Enter the CTR 2 Sport—a rarer, rawer, and even more track-focused evolution. Just 14 examples were built, and the car is going under the hammer in Monterey, chassis no. W09BC0360WPR06007, is one of only four specified with all-wheel drive.

Originally delivered in non-metallic black over black leather to Frank Beddor—a name synonymous with RUF’s American presence—it received a factory refresh in Pfaffenhausen following minor transport damage. That work transformed it into a one-off: a stunning green leather interior, Bilstein PSS10 coilovers, and a freshened presence that elevates it further into the stratosphere of collectability.

With only 16,679 miles and a fresh RUF North America service (July 2025), this CTR 2 Sport embodies everything that makes RUF special—earth-shattering performance wrapped in a package that’s still usable on real roads.

“This car represents one of the purest expressions of RUF’s legacy,” says Alexander Weaver, Senior Car Specialist at Broad Arrow. “It blends motorsport pedigree with bespoke craftsmanship in a way that resonates with both seasoned collectors and the next-gen enthusiast.”

More Icons Join the Lineup
The CTR 2 Sport is just the beginning. Broad Arrow’s Monterey auction also features a curated selection of RUF and Porsche reimaginings that push the boundaries of engineering, aesthetics, and rarity.

1991 Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer DLS — “Mame Commission”
Estimate: $2.9M – $3.2M

One of just 75 Dynamics and Lightweight Study (DLS) commissions, the Mame Commission is Singer’s interpretation of 964 perfection. With a 500-hp, 4.0-liter flat-six developed in partnership with Williams Advanced Engineering, this Fluid Silver rocket is as much art as it is machine. Olive Green Suede, bead-blasted bright trim, and visible carbon details make it a tactile, visual masterpiece—just 250 miles since new.

2011 RUF Rt Roadster — The Only One Ever Made
Estimate: $900K – $1.2M

Built as a one-off tribute to the original soft-window Targa, the Rt Roadster is powered by a 600-hp, 3.8L twin-turbo flat-six with all-wheel drive and a seven-speed DCT. Dressed in dazzling Chroma Flash Hologram Matte over red leather, this car showcases RUF’s unique ability to reinterpret Porsche history with modern flair. Just 6,907 miles, never repeated.

1987 Porsche 911 RUF Carrera 3.4 “Goldfinger”
Estimate: $850K – $1.1M

A modern RUF build with vintage inspiration, “Goldfinger” channels the spirit of the ’74 3.0 RSR in a bespoke package. Finished in Lime Gold Metallic and packing a 3.4L air-cooled flat-six with 270 hp, it combines timeless style with modern RUF upgrades—RSR bodywork, IRC roll cage, CTR-spec brakes, and a buffalo leather and Pepita interior. Fewer than 5,000 km since its 2018 completion.

The 2025 Monterey Jet Center Auction returns August 13–14 as Broad Arrow’s flagship event. Held in partnership with Motorlux, this is the ultimate kickoff to Monterey Car Week. With over 170 collector cars set to cross the runway, including benchmark-setting RUF models, the stakes—and speeds—are higher than ever.

Last year’s sale hit $71.5M with 85% sell-through, and 2025 is shaping up to be even more spectacular. This August in Monterey, RUF dreams take flight. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or just discovering the world of Pfaffenhausen performance, the Jet Center auction is where air-cooled icons meet their next chapter.

One of only 50 examples produced, this 2021 RUF CTR Anniversary—number 25 in the limited series—is a modern homage to the legendary CTR “Yellowbird.” Set to cross the block at RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction on August 15–16, it is estimated to fetch up to $3,400,000.

This striking example is one of the most uniquely specified models in the run, featuring a paint-to-sample finish of Riviera Blue over black buffalo leather with Riviera Blue accents and pepita-patterned “lollipop” fixed-back Kevlar-carbon seats. The car is equipped with every available carbon fiber option, lightweight doors, a front-axle lift system, and Matte Titanium wheels.

Built entirely in-house on a carbon fiber monocoque chassis with aluminum subframes, the CTR Anniversary is powered by a 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine producing 710 horsepower and 649 pound-feet of torque. It’s paired with a RUF-designed seven-speed manual gearbox, enabling the car to accelerate from 0–60 mph in under 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 224 mph.

Weighing just 2,646 pounds dry, it features pushrod suspension with active dampers and a minimalist interior focused purely on the driving experience—no screens, just analog gauges and exposed carbon. Completed in May 2022 and delivered new to the United States, this example has fewer than 200 miles on the odometer.

The McLaren P1 and Ferrari 296 GTB are both hybrid performance cars, but they represent different eras and market segments. The P1 is a 12-year-old hypercar once competing with the LaFerrari and Porsche 918, while the 296 GTB is a modern mid-range Ferrari supercar. Despite their differences, Carwow lined them up for a drag race to see how far performance has come over the past decade.

The goal is to measure progress through quarter-mile and half-mile acceleration tests. Regardless of the result, the fact that a current entry-level Ferrari can be compared with a former top-tier McLaren highlights how much automotive technology has advanced.

The 296 GTB features a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine and an electric motor, combining for 830 hp and 740 Nm of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. It weighs 1,570 kg and is priced at £241,550.

The P1 counters with a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 and electric motor producing 916 hp and 900 Nm. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, and the car weighs just 1,490 kg. It originally sold for around £1.2 million.

Can the older, lighter, and more powerful McLaren hold off the newer, more efficient Ferrari? The answer lies in the video, but regardless of who wins, the matchup shows just how quickly performance benchmarks are evolving.

Fresh from being confirmed as the world’s fastest accelerating production car, and the new 0-400km/h-0 champion, the Rimac Nevera R made its dynamic debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend, with twice-daily runs up the famous Hillclimb.

Following the recent announcement that the Nevera R had comprehensively shattered 24 performance records – including many previously set by the Nevera – the new hypercar took center stage in the Festival’s Supercar Paddock. Complete with its updated aero package, improved tires, additional power and tweaked torque vectoring, the 2,107 hp electric hypercar demonstrated its capabilities on the challenging 1.16-mile Hillclimb course, with Bugatti Rimac Chief Test and Development Driver Miroslav Zrnčević behind the wheel.

The Nevera R occupied a dedicated Rimac area within the Supercar Paddock, allowing many members of the public their first look at the new visual identity, focused on clean surfaces and perfect proportions.  The front of the car is designed to be both striking and technical, with horizontal lines that emphasize aerodynamic efficiency, stance, and width, while the rear is dominated by the new fixed spoiler and large diffuser – each partly responsible for an increase in downforce of 15%.

“Goodwood Festival of Speed always seems to be somewhere we come to celebrate our milestones; we brought the Concept_One to the hill right back in 2017, broke the EV production car hill record with the Nevera, and marked our 15th anniversary with the debut of the 15th Anniversary Edition in 2024. Even amongst the most amazing collection of historic cars and the latest modern hypercars of Goodwood there’s something special about knowing we’ve got the fastest accelerating production car there – just the latest milestone in the Rimac journey.”

Limited to just 40 units worldwide, the Nevera R represents the ultimate expression of Rimac’s electric hypercar technology, combining 0-60 mph acceleration in just 1.66 seconds with enhanced cornering dynamics, all while maintaining comfort and usability.

Porsche is set to launch the next generation of its legendary one-make cup race car, the new Porsche 911 Cup, with a world debut slated for this summer. Built on the updated 992.2 generation of the iconic 911, the comprehensively refined racing machine is expected to make its competitive debut in the 2026 season, including in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and Carrera Cup series worldwide, such as Porsche Carrera Cup North America.

Since its inception in 1990, the Porsche 911 has served as the foundation for the marque’s highly successful one-make cup series. Originally launched with the German Porsche Carrera Cup, the program quickly expanded to include the Porsche Supercup in 1993, running alongside select Formula 1® Grand Prix events. Over the years, this initiative has evolved into a global racing phenomenon.

Today, Porsche Carrera Cups are hosted in over a dozen countries across continents — from Asia and Japan to the Middle East, Europe, the Americas, and Australia. Complementing these are 23 Porsche Sprint and Endurance Challenges, all employing 911 GT3 Cup cars. With 5,381 units produced to date, these are among the most prolific race cars ever built.

As with previous models, the new 911 Cup car is manufactured alongside street-legal 911s at Porsche’s main plant in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen. The current iteration, introduced in 2021 (Type 992.1), has seen over 1,130 units produced, with each car assembled in just under eight hours — a testament to Porsche’s efficiency and dedication to motorsport excellence.

Development of the new Cup car began in January 2024 at Porsche Motorsport in Weissach, with a focus on elevating performance through enhanced aerodynamics, vehicle electronics, brakes, transmission, and engine response. The car continues to merge series production DNA with motorsport-grade technology.

“We are already operating at a very high-performance level with the current GT3 Cup,” said Jan Feldmann, Project Manager for GT racing cars at Porsche Motorsport. “This has allowed us to focus more on feedback from the global one-make cups and develop a racing car that has been refined in many areas.”

Testing took place on three demanding tracks: Monza, the Lausitzring, and Porsche’s Weissach test circuit. Notable test drivers included Bastian Buus (2023 Supercup champion), Klaus Bachler (2024 LMGT3 Endurance Trophy winner), Laurin Heinrich (2024 IMSA GTD Pro champion), and experienced racer Marco Seefried.

In alignment with Porsche’s push toward sustainable motorsport, the new 911 Cup has been tested exclusively with the eFuel blend used in the 2025 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. This synthetic racing fuel meets FIA’s Appendix J regulations for “Advanced Sustainable” fuels and achieves a 66% CO2 reduction compared to fossil fuel equivalents.

Comprising 79.7% renewable content, the blend features methanol-to-gasoline (MtG) synthetic gasoline and waste-derived ethanol, optimized to enhance oxygen content and octane (100.5 RON). Specifically developed for high-performance boxer engines, this fuel allows Porsche to maintain peak performance while significantly lowering environmental impact.

With the new 911 Cup, Porsche continues to lead the way in combining world-class motorsport engineering with sustainability. As the brand gears up for the 2026 season, fans and competitors alike can look forward to a race car that is not only faster and more refined but also a beacon of future-focused racing.

Developed by Lamborghini’s Squadra Corse motorsport division and styled by Centro Stile, the SCV12 is a track-only special featuring a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 producing over 819 hp, mated to a six-speed Xtrac sequential gearbox. Built under FIA prototype safety standards, it channels power exclusively to the rear wheels. It generates a staggering 2,650 pounds of downforce at 155 mph, thanks to race-grade aerodynamics and lightweight magnesium wheels paired with Pirelli slicks.

Finished in Rosso Scintilla over Nero Cosmus Alcantara, chassis 11604 is the only SCV12 to feature factory-tinted exposed carbon fiber on its mirrors, engine cover, and rear wing. It comes with a carbon-fiber yoke steering wheel (in addition to a leather-wrapped OMP unit) and a bespoke OMP racing suit for its next owner.

As part of the SCV12 club, this car offers immediate eligibility for Lamborghini’s global track-day events with full factory support. Scheduled events for 2025 include Barcelona and Misano, with additional events planned for 2026. Additional benefits include access to Lamborghini’s storage and driver development program in Sant’Agata Bolognese.

Automobili Lamborghini has returned to the shimmering coastline of Costa Smeralda with the reopening of its exclusive Lounge in Porto Cervo, marking its seventh consecutive year at this Mediterranean hotspot. Located in the heart of the Promenade du Port on Via Porto Vecchio, the Lamborghini Lounge transforms into a summer sanctuary for owners and enthusiasts, offering a full immersion into the brand’s bold lifestyle from now through September 10th.

A brand experience under the Sardinian sun

More than a showroom, the Lamborghini Lounge is an immersive destination where luxury, innovation, and performance converge. Framed by the turquoise waters of Porto Cervo’s marina and the vibrant energy of the town, the space reflects Lamborghini’s unmistakable identity. Whether you’re a long-time aficionado or first-time visitor, the Lounge offers a welcoming yet sophisticated atmosphere steeped in the spirit of the raging bull.

Guests are greeted by two striking models: the Lamborghini Revuelto in Blu Eliadi with a unique red livery, and the Urus SE in Verde Ermes—both sourced from the brand’s expressive Ad Personam color palette. These bold hues exemplify Lamborghini’s fusion of power and elegance, serving as a visual prologue to the experience inside.

Design, Detail, and Personalization

Inside, the Lounge evokes the feel of a modern design gallery. Elegant furnishings by Living Divani create a sleek, comfortable space, complemented by Culti Milano’s “Grigio Vulcano” scent and Carbon Champagne’s refined cuvée. It’s a setting where every element reflects Lamborghini’s ethos of curated excellence.

One of the Lounge’s central highlights is the Ad Personam Studio, Lamborghini’s bespoke atelier. Here, visitors can explore endless personalization options—colors, leathers, materials—guided by Lamborghini specialists. With original samples flown in from Sant’Agata Bolognese, guests are empowered to bring their dream Lamborghini to life, down to the smallest detail.

Showcasing the hybrid future

This summer’s model lineup boldly represents Lamborghini’s new era of hybrid super sports cars. Leading the showcase is the Temerario Alleggerita Package in Verde Mercurius, a vivid green shade from the Sporty color family. Alongside it stands the Revuelto, Lamborghini’s pioneering HPEV V12, dressed in Blu Uranus Matt from the Eclettica palette. Together, they embody a chromatic celebration of performance, innovation, and design—true to Lamborghini’s DNA: brave, unexpected, and authentic.

A multisensory lifestyle showcase

Beyond cars, the Lounge delivers a curated luxury experience. Lavazza offers signature Italian coffee blends, while Tod’s presents select pieces from its Gommino shoe collection created in collaboration with Lamborghini, blending timeless style with automotive flair.

On display is the 3T Racemax Oro Elios bicycle, a high-performance creation born from the partnership between Lamborghini and 3T. Adding to the ambiance is the Sonus faber experience corner, where visitors can explore the purity of sound through the Sonetto VIII loudspeaker. DarGlobal also unveils Tierra Viva, a luxury villa community in Marbella, inspired by Lamborghini’s design language.

A Mediterranean summer with Lamborghini

With a rich program of exclusive events and scenic driving experiences through Sardinia’s coastal roads and sunsets, the Lounge in Porto Cervo is more than a destination—it’s a celebration of lifestyle, craftsmanship, and performance. By once again setting the stage in one of Europe’s most glamorous locales, Lamborghini continues to drive forward with elegance, passion, and unmistakable Italian style.

Lamborghini has reaffirmed its commitment to international motorsport and today launches the new Temerario GT3, the very first race car derived from the Temerario road model. The Temerario GT3, which will compete in race series around the world, sets a new standard for the company’s competition cars and is the first to be entirely designed, developed and built at the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory in Italy. Conceived from the outset with a motorsport derivative in mind, the Temerario project has allowed for strategic integration of race-oriented engineering from the earliest design stages.

As a result of this innovative approach by Lamborghini, the GT3 features an adapted version of the aluminum spaceframe chassis, specifically modified to meet the structural and serviceability requirements of racing. It is powered by the same 4-liter V8 twin-turbo engine as the Temerario production model, which has been re-engineered specifically in the area of forced induction, with redesigned turbocharging components to comply with GT3 regulations and deliver peak performance under race conditions.

“The Temerario GT3 is the first racing derivative of the Temerario project, further emphasizing Lamborghini’s strong commitment to motorsport as a key tool for promoting our brand,” stated Stephan Winkelmann, Lamborghini Chairman and CEO. “Following the sporting and commercial success of the Huracán GT3 project, with which we won 96 championships and sold over 200 units, we have always envisioned racing derivatives from the very inception of the Temerario project. The Temerario GT3 will set a benchmark for its competitors, just as the road-going Temerario has.”

“The Temerario GT3 has been designed with the end user in mind,” said Lamborghini Chief Technical Officer, Rouven Mohr. “Everything has been considered, from the efficiency of the aerodynamics to the power curve to the way in which the team is able to operate the car. The car operates in a slightly different area of the performance windows, which are used to balance the cars of different configurations, compared to its predecessor. We are confident that it will be competitive in terms of lap time, while also rewarding to drive in a wide range of conditions, including at night and in the rain. The development team has worked hard to ensure the car has a wide operating window, and that the teams are better able to work on it.”

All aspects of the Temerario GT3 have been carefully optimized for competition while the design team has also retained the essence of the production car. The project draws on the experience of Lamborghini’s motorsport department with the Huracán GT3, which has achieved 96 titles worldwide in GT3 competitions over the past ten years.

CHASSIS

The aluminum spaceframe has been taken from the Temerario production line and converted for racing use through extensive lightweighting and simplification. In particular, the frame has been simplified to allow for quick removal and reattachment of the front and rear subframes during trackside operations. The removable rear subframe has been specially developed by Squadra Corse to accommodate the components of the engine and the new transmission, while all unnecessary brackets, which in the production car support the hybrid components, have been removed as they are not present in this racing version. In the central part of the aluminum frame, a roll cage has been integrated, complying with FIA GT3 safety standards. The front subframe has also been modified, with the removal of the electric motors that characterize the production car.

BODYWORK

Mounted on the chassis is new bodywork made from carbon composite material for the first time, to reduce the base weight of the car as far as possible. The bodywork is the result of a collaborative effort between the aerodynamics team at Squadra Corse and the Lamborghini Centro Stile. The aim was to maintain the production car’s unmistakable style while adapting it to the requirements of the new engine and brake cooling system, achieving the desired performance targets for downforce and drag to ensure optimal aerodynamic balance.

Additionally, the bodywork has been engineered for quick disassembly and reassembly during race weekends, to reduce time on pit road in case of repair. The front and rear ends of the bodywork are each constructed from a single piece. The rear diffuser, engine cover and bonnet have also been designed for rapid removal. Even the front lights feature a quick connector system for quick disassembly. The floor comes in four separate parts including two sections ahead of the front axle – one through the center of the car – and a powerful rear diffuser. The center section has been designed so that it can, if necessary, be changed while the car is on its air jacks in the pit lane.

The refueling system has been updated to increase the flow rate into the tank, while the tank design has been changed, enabling a new fuel sensor to be used to provide more accurate readings to the team. The aerodynamics have been optimized to improve the stability of the car under braking and reduce balance shift through cornering. With temperature management in mind, airflow to the radiators has also been improved as has the front radiator design, with efficiency of paramount importance. The removal of the hybrid unit from the engine has in turn, increased demand on the turbochargers, which require greater airflow to maintain control of their temperature.

POWERTRAIN

Power comes from the production-derived 4-liter, V8 twin-turbo engine that has been developed by Lamborghini engineers with a new turbocharger and compressor unit. This is due to the car meeting international GT3 regulations which do not permit hybrid systems. In doing so, Lamborghini has changed the way in which the engine delivers the 550 hp (subject to balance of performance) instead of 800 hp as in the road engine.

The powertrain of the road vehicle was developed by Lamborghini’s R&D engineers with a design architecture explicitly oriented towards potential motorsport integration from the initial concept phase, including state-of-the-art engineering solutions such as the flat-plane crankshaft with a 180-degree angle between the crankpins. This crankshaft, typically used in racing engines, ensures optimal fluid dynamic behavior due to even firing orders compared to the cross-plane crankshaft, along with a uniquely engaging sound. Titanium conrods reduce the rotating masses and offer excellent material properties in terms of strength and lightness, reducing weight.

The twin-turbo combustion engine is paired with a six-speed transverse gearbox. The airbox has been redesigned to meet the new requirements of the smaller turbochargers used in the race version, differing from those found in the road-going model. The engine has been completely recalibrated to deliver maximum performance across a broader rev range. Development of the vehicle was carried out using Pertamina Fastron Lubricants racing motor oil. The exhaust system is a custom solution developed specifically for the Temerario GT3 and is supplied by Capristo.

WHEELS AND SUSPENSION

The new model features a longer wheelbase compared to its predecessor, and a wider track front and rear, with the aim of improving stability in cornering. For the first time, the suspension features new 6-way dampers from KW, which is also the supplier for the SC63 LMDh project. The mounting points of the suspension no longer require carbon inserts in the chassis, but instead use mounting plates. The new suspension can also be changed quickly in the pits, saving time during the practice sessions by enabling fast changes to the basic setup. Tires are mounted on 18-inch wheels supplied by Ronal AG. The Temerario GT3 also features a custom hydraulic steering rack designed to achieve optimal suspension geometry and maximize performance with products from all the leading tire manufacturers to ensure that it remains competitive across the full range of championships around the world.

INTERIOR

The driver experience has been engineered with the support of Lamborghini factory drivers Marco Mapelli and Andrea Caldarelli, whose insights have been fundamental in refining ergonomics, control layout and usability during high-performance driving. In the cockpit, the electronics have been updated to improve the driver experience. The integration of state-of-the-art hardware has enabled the development of dedicated software, customized directly by Lamborghini to ensure optimal vehicle control. The switchgear in the cockpit is new, featuring updated graphics and a more complete data logger. The steering wheel has been designed by Lamborghini based on customized specifications, incorporating feedback from its factory and customer drivers.

DEBUT

The Temerario GT3 has been developed to be competitive with all relevant makes of tires and GT3 regulations and aims to serve the needs of Lamborghini’s customer teams, who require an increasingly refined and raceable product. The development phase will conclude during the 2026 season when the car will debut in a series of selected events, with the maiden outing planned for the Sebring 12 Hours in March. Lamborghini also remains committed to providing technical support to all customer teams still racing with the Huracán in the upcoming season during this transition phase.

What happens when two of Koenigsegg’s most extreme creations—the Regera and the Agera RS—line up for a quarter-mile showdown? Carwow set out to answer that question with a full drag race, rolling starts, and even a brake test to settle the score once and for all.

The Regera is Koenigsegg’s hybrid powerhouse, pairing a 5.0L twin-turbo V8 (running on E85 fuel) with three electric motors. It produces a combined 1,500 hp and 2,000 Nm of torque, all sent to the rear wheels via a single-speed direct drive system. It weighs 1,590 kg and sits on Michelin Cup 2 tires. In contrast, the Agera RS uses the same V8 engine but ditches electric assistance. It makes 1,360 hp and 1,570 Nm through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic with launch control and tips the scales at just 1,395 kg.

In the drag race, the Regera edged out the Agera RS with a 10.3-second quarter-mile pass, just a tenth faster than the Agera’s 10.4 seconds.  Rolling races further revealed the difference in power delivery. From a 10 mph start, the Regera surged ahead thanks to instant electric torque. From 80 km/h in second gear, the Agera RS’s boost advantage gave it a brief lead, but both cars stayed neck-and-neck through the run. In the braking test, the lighter Agera RS stopped in a shorter distance from 100 mph, clinching the final win.

Powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine paired with a supercapacitor-based 48-volt electric motor, the Sián produces a total of 819 horsepower—785 from the combustion engine and 34 from the electric system.

This advanced setup enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds, making it the fastest-accelerating Lamborghini at the time of its release. Rather than using traditional lithium-ion batteries, Lamborghini integrated a supercapacitor system, which is significantly lighter and capable of delivering instant power, eliminating shift lag, and aiding regenerative braking.

The Sián’s design is inspired by the iconic Countach, with futuristic elements such as Y-shaped headlights and self-adjusting cooling vanes that activate based on temperature. Only 63 units of the Sián FKP 37 were built, honoring the company’s founding year, and each car was individually tailored through Lamborghini’s Centro Stile.

This particular Sián, with just 208 miles, is finished in Viola Aletheia over Nero Cosmus, featuring copper and purple accents, and includes the $105,216 Carbon Package. It will be offered by RM Sotheby’s on August 15–16 at their Monterey auction with an estimated value of up to $2,800,000.

For being widely recognized as a “mainstream” automaker, the Lexus LFA supercar is anything but. Its elusive, practically unicorn status, has cemented the car in history as more of an enigma rather than the industry gamechanger it had all the potential of becoming—God forbid, you ever get to see one in person.

Hopefully that sentiment changes with its upcoming predecessor, currently dubbed the Lexus LFR. Just over 3 years have passed since Toyota unveiled the GR GT3 race car at the 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon. We now know that the road-going Lexus LFR will be built on the race car’s platform, jointly serving homologation purposes in the process.

Albeit in plenty of camo, we got to see both the LFR and its race car variant parade up the iconic hill climb course at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, which is held every year in West Sussex, England. Marking its first official public appearance, mystery nevertheless continues to shroud the remarkable silhouette of the company’s new halo car. Test mules have also recently been spotted testing at the ‘Ring and Laguna Seca, so things are most certainly heating up.

Aside from the vaguely-revealing visual cues which arguably leave less up to the imagination, practically nothing else has been divulged however. Rumors of Toyota/Lexus employing a hybridized twin-turbocharged V8 powerplant continue to persist, with eagle-eyed (or rather, bat-eared) observers going as far to confirm it being a matter of fact. We’ll only know all the true details closer to an official unveiling—touted to be sometime in 2026—and I’ll be sure to share them with you then.

What is it like to take a seat behind the steering wheel of the brand new Ferrari F80? Some say it might be the best Ferrari ever made, Ferrari insists on calling it a supercar, but we might have to call it a hypercar nonetheless, mainly because of the rather steep MSRP of this new beast from Maranello, about $4,200,000, but that price is justified as this has to be a worthy heir to the legendary LaFerrari, the F80 is the latest offering in the illustrious lineage of the F40, F50, Enzo, and LaFerrari.

Image copyright Chris Harris on Cars – YouTube

But that does come with nearly 1,200 hp, and what makes that even more impressive is the fact we’re talking about a 3-liter V6 Twin Turbo engine behind the two seats, an engine that has been derived from an actual Le Mans winner, the 499P, but as usual these days, there is an electric motor, that adds up to 80 hp into the mix and two more electric motors on the front axle.

And this clearly is an engine inspired by endurance racing, this V6 can rev to an impressive 9,200 rpm, that’s howling for sure, and get this, yes, this one comes with two turbochargers, but inside each of these turbos, there is another electric motor for instant response.

Image copyright Motor Trend Channel – YouTube

And finally, we get to see and hear some impressions from people who were actually allowed to drive this multi-million dollar hypercar from Ferrari, both on the Misano track and on the open road surrounding that circuit.
So let’s talk about how this 1,200 bhp Prancing Horse handles the track, because let’s face it, most of these cars will be used on the open road, where, again, most of the owners won’t even be able to come close to any of the limits this beast has.

The Ferrari F80 is tremendously fast, that’s a given, but it’s also relatively decent to handle, even if you ‘cook’ the corner a little, meaning you are just going a little too fast, the front still manages to get you in check and make it out of the corner without a very expensive wreck, and that’s mostly thanks to the ‘intelligence’ found in this masterpiece, and the oodles of power that’s available at any given moment, there is no justification to chritizise the Ferrari F80 when it comes to performance and acceleration.

Image copyright CAR magazine – YouTube

Even if you ‘ride the curbs’, the F80 stays very firm on it’s track, the composure is amazing, and you hardly have to turn the steering wheel to make it through the corners, one remark that was given by those people fortunate enough to drive this new F80 was the paddles, usually they turn with the wheel, but on this car they stay fixed in place behind the steering wheel.

When you switch the Ferrari F80 into Qualifying mode, you feel like Leclerc in Monaco; that’s how much the behavior of the car changes under your right foot, but you do get a feeling that you can push the car even further the more you drive it, and that could get dangerous in a hurry with 1,183 bhp at your disposal, so is the F80 a car that keeps you trying for more? So, what happens if you take off your helmet and actually drive the Ferrari F80 on the open road? Things change considerably. If you didn’t fall in love completely from driving on the track, taking this beast onto the road will make you love it unconditionally.

Image copyright Top Gear – YouTube

The entire experience changes; the sounds and impressions you get from driving on the street make the Ferrari F80 extremely exciting to pilot around. She comes to life on the road, something you are intrigued about after driving on the track, it’s almost like you are driving two different cars, with the adjustable suspension, the Ferrari F80 remains completely flat in the corners, also virtually no ‘nose-dipping’ on deceleration, it’s just so capable with this independent suspension setup, the Ferrari engineers really nailed it with this car.

On the road you don’t get the feeling you are driving a massive car, it doesn’t feel too big on the streets, also the comfort is rather good, despite having nearly 1,200 horsepower available, and you are inside a top of the line supercar from Maranello, you can still have a conversation with your passenger, and you don’t have to be driving on perfectly flat road surfaces either, the suspension just copes so well, and while it might look like an endurance race car, you still get working airconditioning, Apple Car Play, and taken a road trip, staying behind the wheel for hours on end will not wear you out completely.

Image copyright Top Gear – YouTube

Let’s just take a look at how those e-turbos react when you’re in 4th gear at 1,200 rpm. You put your foot to the metal, and you are greeted with an instant, consistent, intensifying power delivery; it’s not an EV, but the sensation you get is very close indeed. As an added bonus, you have that amazing sound just behind your head of an ICE engine, also keep in mind that acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes just 2.15 seconds in the Ferrari F80, that is clearly EV performance, but with a howling engine behind you.

While you might prefer a V12 engine on the track, once you take the Ferrari F80 on the open road, you completely forget about that and you are very content with that twin-turbocharged V6 behind the seats. The F80 gets so much more alive on the open road compared to the track, the active suspension makes the ride unexpectedly comfortable, even on those ‘less than perfectly smooth’ sections of road, the suspension doesn’t smooth out everything like in a luxury car, you are still inside a high-performance supercar, but here is no harshness being felt, that is filtered out nicely.

Image copyright Chris Harris on Cars – YouTube

The experience behind the wheel is just outrageous, you don’t want to be a passenger in the Ferrari F80, you want to be a driver, and that feeling is just what you want in a 4 million dollar hypercar from Maranello, and while they are building 799 units of this beast for customers, you’re just too late if you are reading this and haven’t got a signed order form, they are all sold out! Which is a pity, as the Ferrari F80 is truly a masterpiece, be it a race car for the road, or a road car with incredible track performance, the F80 is a true Prancing Horse, no doubt about that.

If you want to get a feeling of what it’s like sitting behind the wheel of the new Ferrari F80, feel free to take a look at the videos below, and enjoy the sensation of a 4 million dollar Prancing Horse from Maranello.

One of only six Lightweight variants built, Redbird stands alone as the only example finished in Bordeaux Red through RUF’s paint-to-sample program.

Originally commissioned in 1988 by a German client, Dr. Dietrich, in direct collaboration with Alois Ruf, it features unique trim-to-sample Nutria leather and a host of bespoke components including RUF suspension, a transaxle, lightweight body panels, and a telemetry gauge.

Completed in September 1989, the car was initially kept in storage at RUF’s facility and reportedly used as Alois Ruf’s personal car. It remained largely unused until 2005, having covered just over 3,500 km by that time. Subsequent owners in Germany, Austria, Belgium, and the U.S. added minimal mileage, bringing the total to under 18,900 km today.

Redbird retains its numbers-matching 3.4L twin-turbo flat-six engine and includes a full suite of documentation—build sheet, factory correspondence, registration papers, manuals, and invoices. With one-off aesthetic touches like a Pfaffenhausen crest and chrome trim, combined with its unique provenance and rare factory Lightweight spec, this CTR represents one of the most distinctive and collectible RUF models ever offered for public sale.

Aston Martin has unveiled the next evolution of its beloved Vantage line: the Vantage S, a nameplate that carries both heritage and high expectations. As the most performance-focused Vantage in the brand’s current lineup, the Vantage S doesn’t simply add horsepower or flashier styling – it represents a recalibration of Aston Martin’s sports car ethos, blending extreme dynamic precision with unmistakable luxury.

A Legacy of ‘S’

The Vantage S arrives as the spiritual successor to previous ‘S’ models, such as the acclaimed V8 Vantage S and Vanquish S, continuing Aston Martin’s tradition of reserving the ‘S’ badge for more focused, performance-driven variants. This iteration honors that legacy while pushing well beyond it.

According to Aston Martin CEO Adrian Hallmark, the aim was to surpass the already-praised driving thrills of the current Vantage. The result is not just a more capable car, but one that redefines expectations in the front-engine, ultra-luxury sports car space.

Power and Precision

At the heart of the Vantage S is an upgraded version of Aston Martin’s 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine, now delivering 680PS at 6000rpm and a mighty 800Nm of torque across a wide rev range. These improvements shave tenths off the sprint times, with 0–60mph in just 3.3 seconds, and maintain a top speed of 202mph.

However, this isn’t just about brute force. The power is managed through carefully recalibrated throttle mapping and an updated launch control system, ensuring the car remains poised and responsive. A refined pedal feel matched to drive modes enhances engagement, letting drivers truly feel the engine’s character shift with each setting.

Chassis and Ride: Engineering Excellence

Where the Vantage S truly distinguishes itself is in its chassis tuning. Aston Martin has made extensive updates to the suspension hardware, powertrain mounts, and control software to increase agility while maintaining composure. Changes include software calibration to the Bilstein DTX adaptive dampers, direct rear subframe mounting for improved steering feel, and a 10% reduction in transmission mount stiffness to enhance ride refinement.

The result? Sharper turn-in, increased grip, and a greater sense of balance in corners – without sacrificing daily usability. The Vantage S delivers a sense of fluidity on the road, responding intuitively to driver inputs, yet remains civilised enough for long-distance drives. It’s a rare balance that few cars in this class achieve.

Aerodynamics and Exterior Design

Visually, the Vantage S communicates its intent with subtle yet effective enhancements. A new full-width rear spoiler adds both aesthetic drama and functional downforce, increasing rear grip by 44kg at Vmax and contributing to an overall 111kg of downforce. Up front, centrally mounted bonnet blades in gloss black or carbon fibre aid cooling and lend the car a more assertive nose.

Badging is discreet, with hand-crafted red enamel ‘S’ emblems on the fenders – elegant yet meaningful to those in the know. Even the 21″ Y-spoke wheels, optional in satin black with red graphics, tie into the car’s performance narrative with a visual pop that hints at racing pedigree.

Interior: Focused Luxury

Inside, the Vantage S maintains Aston Martin’s high standards of luxury while infusing a more purposeful, motorsport-inspired atmosphere. The standard Accelerate interior combines Alcantara® and leather with carbon fibre trim, while optional Inspire Sport packages offer semi-aniline leather in striking monotone or duotone combinations.

The craftsmanship is as exacting as ever – consider the embroidered ‘S’ logos, each one stitched using over 16 metres of thread and 2,500 stitches. Even the final inspection plaque in the engine bay bears the ‘S’ insignia, a nod to the level of detail expected from a car in this category.

An optional anodised drive mode rotary – available in red or silver – becomes a focal point in the cabin, visually linking to other interior details like seatbelts, contrast stitching, and headrest embroidery. Every element of the Vantage S feels curated for a driver who values both speed and style.

A Global Stage Debut

Fittingly, the Vantage S made its global dynamic debut at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, a venue that celebrates both heritage and high-performance. Charging up the iconic hill climb, the Vantage S showcased not just raw numbers, but its composure and precision under pressure – a live demonstration of everything that sets it apart.

Final Thoughts

The Aston Martin Vantage S is not a simple mid-cycle refresh or cosmetic upgrade – it’s a complete reimagining of what the Vantage can be. From its surgically precise handling to its thoughtfully refined interior, it offers a driving experience that is both emotionally charged and technically accomplished.

It doesn’t just go faster – it feels more alive. With production underway and first deliveries expected in Q4 2025, the Vantage S stands as a confident statement from Aston Martin: that performance, elegance, and craftsmanship are not mutually exclusive, but deeply intertwined.

This is the Huayra Codalunga Speedster: an open-air interpretation of the coupé version that won the Design Award at the 2023 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Created by the Pagani Grandi Complicazioni division, the project was sketched by Horacio Pagani as a tribute to clients seeking the perfect balance between elegant forms and powerful performance. Only ten examples will be built, fully homologated for road use worldwide, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2026.

“Every Pagani is born to bring into form the unique vision each person has of a Hypercar. For some, it must be extreme, bold, and able to captivate at first glance; for others, it embodies elegance, restraint, and harmony. From these different interpretations arise studies, research, and solutions that lead to strikingly distinct results, yet always recognizable by the Pagani signature: the purity of the lines, the absolute attention to every detail, and the balance between aesthetics and function. The Huayra Codalunga Speedster is a tribute to those who imagine their sports car as an icon of lightness and momentum, shaped by essential lines that transcend time with ease.” (Horacio Pagani, Founder & Chief Designer, Pagani Automobili)

The Origin

“In the 1950s and ’60s, racing cars could merge performance and beauty in an almost poetic balance. They had to be fast, but also light, sleek, and designed with meticulous attention to detail. Romantic lines, timeless. Then something changed. Efficiency started to overshadow elegance. With the Huayra Codalunga Speedster, we wanted to go back there. To that era of refined speed. We removed aerodynamic appendages and side air intakes. We pursued clean, tapered forms designed to cut through the air quietly, without unnecessary noise. A different kind of Pagani, built around an idea of visual and formal lightness.” (Lorenzo Kerkoc, Head of Grandi Complicazioni.

Exterior Design

The Huayra Codalunga Speedster inherits the stylistic codes of the coupé but reinterprets them decisively. It immediately stands out from any other open-top Pagani: even more streamlined, even purer. Starting with its structure, featuring an entirely new monocoque.

The visual journey begins at the front. The headlights are embedded into the bodywork like light engravings. The bumper with integrated splitter channels air with millimetric precision. The lower, softer windshield flows into the car’s profile, making it slimmer and more harmonious.

The side windows, inspired by post-war racing prototypes, have a lower shape and a gently rounded rear edge. This choice accentuates the tapered lines and fully embodies the speedster philosophy, conveying a sense of lightness and forward motion. The rear window extends this rhythm toward the panoramic hard top — a completely new element that, when mounted, creates a continuous line from the windshield to the tail. Viewed from above, the roof evokes the perfect shape of a drop, emphasized by the side pillars. The transparent section, made of polycarbonate, reduces weight without compromising rigidity.

Along the sides, every line guides the eye. The doors, with traditional opening, are a coherent choice in keeping with the philosophy of essentiality. The aerodynamic blade is integrated. The external sills are sculpted in continuity with the doors and rear hood. No visible openings: air is channeled through hidden naca ducts in the flat underbody.

Between the roof and the tail, the roll bar takes shape. It’s not just a safety arch — it’s a visual statement. It echoes the body color and carries it into the cabin, creating a cascading effect through the central tunnel, gear lever, and dashboard. A chromatic thread that connects exterior and interior, technique and poetry.

The rear hood further accentuates the car’s streamlined tail. The bumper integrates a diffuser and two aerodynamic fins. The taillights appear suspended, as if floating in the air: pure light, pure lightness. The new six-outlet exhaust system, with lower titanium pipes and upper ceramic-coated outlets, completes the technical and aesthetic signature.

Every line of the Huayra Codalunga Speedster is born from a desire to optimize airflow. CFD simulations refined the curvature of the wheel arches and the fluidity of the hood, ensuring a balanced distribution of aerodynamic load between the axles. The result? Less drag, better performance.

The Interior

The tones evoke the 1960s; the finishes are semi-matte; the craftsmanship blends old-world mastery with cutting-edge techniques. The result is an essential, measured precision, capable of surprising without ever overwhelming.

Inside, hammered and hand-stitched leathers can be combined in a variety of types and finishes, allowing for refined, distinctive color and tactile combinations, all custom-designed. The solid-milled metal parts become small sculptures, echoing the delicacy of artisan gestures, as if gently chiseled by hand.

The steering wheel and gear knob recall the spirit of classic racing, reinterpreted through the Pagani lens: a carbon fiber frame, mahogany inserts, and aluminum rivets hammered and polished by hand. A contemporary tribute to the iconic Nardi steering wheels, where form, material, and artisan touch came together in perfect harmony. The cabin is designed to convey a sense of calm and poise.

Adding an even more personal touch is an exclusive fabric created from embroidery developed specifically for this car. A refined weave that translates haute couture techniques into an unprecedented language in the automotive world. The pattern draws inspiration from the four-exhaust symbol — a defining element of Pagani Hypercars since the very first Zonda. A system of circles multiplies and overlaps, creating a dense, rhythmic texture that transforms from sign to substance.

Each embroidered element is composed of over 450,000 individual stitches, all meticulously done by hand — a testament to craftsmanship that is precise, patient, precious. This fabric dresses the seats, door panels, and center console with a delicacy that captivates at first glance and becomes even more irresistible to the touch.

The Beating Heart

Beneath the hood beats a heart forged for performance: the 60° Pagani V12, a 5,980 cc twin-turbo engine developed exclusively with Mercedes-AMG. This powerhouse delivers 864 HP (635 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) of torque, available from just 2,800 rpm, ensuring strong, effortless acceleration.

A 7-speed transverse Pagani by Xtrac gearbox manages the power, offered in both AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) and pure manual configurations — perfect for those who crave an even more visceral connection. The titanium six-way exhaust system reduces weight and provides an unmistakable sound signature, a defining hallmark of every Pagani creation.

The Engineering Behind Driving Pleasure

The Huayra Codalunga Speedster is built around a Carbo-Titanium HP62-G2 and Carbo-Triax HP62 monocoque, a masterwork of strength and lightness that ensures uncompromising structural rigidity and safety. The active suspension system, made from forged aluminum alloy, adopts a double wishbone independent layout, with variable-rate springs and coaxial shock absorbers to adapt seamlessly to any driving condition.

The braking system stems from a long-standing partnership with Brembo, a leader in high-performance braking technology. The Pagani by Brembo carbon-ceramic system guarantees power, precision, and resistance under the most extreme stresses. At the front, 410 × 38 mm discs with 6-piston monolithic calipers; at the rear, 390 × 34 mm discs with 4-piston calipers. A perfect balance between responsiveness and control, delivering lightning-fast deceleration in any situation.

Interaction with the asphalt is handled by monolithic avional wheels — 20″ at the front and 21″ at the rear — wrapped in Pirelli Trofeo R tires, 265/30 R20 at the front and 355/25 R21 at the rear. A combination that ensures maximum grip, precision, and control through every corner.

Grandi Complicazioni

Grandi Complicazioni is the Pagani division dedicated to creating Hypercars so sophisticated that they transcend the boundaries of traditional technology and manufacturing. These are pieces that demand extraordinary ingenuity and absolute dedication: time, care, and expertise. Only a few artisans in the world possess the skill to build them, often in extremely limited numbers, sometimes as a single, unique example. In Haute Horlogerie, such marvels are known as Grandes Complications. Pagani Automobili embodies this very essence, dedicating the name to the division that brings its most exclusive creations to life. A tailor-made journey, shaped through complete harmony between the client and the Pagani team, led by Horacio himself. No limits to personalization: concepts, forms, materials, colors, finishes. The only boundary is the imagination of those who dream of a truly unique, one-of-a-kind car.

Hyper Sportscar Awarded

The Rimac Nevera R, which evolves the groundbreaking Nevera from Hyper GT to Hyper Sportscar, has been awarded a coveted Red Dot Award for Product Design 2025. The international jury selected the Nevera R from numerous global submissions, recognizing its outstanding quality and design. Embodying Rimac Automobili’s philosophy of being Radical, Rebellious, and Relentless, the Nevera R’s appearance is a visual statement of the engineering changes and updated technology underneath, creating a more powerful and more focused member of the Nevera family.

“We’re incredibly honored that the Nevera R has been recognized with the Red Dot Award for Product Design,” said Frank Heyl, Bugatti Rimac Design Director. “This award recognizes our vision of evolving the existing Nevera design in-line with a more aggressive personality. It was important to start with proportions; we introduced a horizontal split to visually enhance the car’s length and reduce its visual height, creating a purposeful silhouette, then we added 21-inch wheels on the rear instead of the previous 20-inch, giving a forward-leaning stance. There we have our dynamic proportions on which we can build a new performance-led design in the unique Rimac Automobili style.”

Art Meets Technology

The Nevera R’s design, spearheaded by Lead Exterior Designer Facundo Elias, features a striking aesthetic of a silk dress that elegantly flows over the body while still exposing functional areas, which now feature a more performance-oriented visual language. The car’s distinctive front especially highlights the aesthetic exterior by the interplay of sculpture and technical design cues, giving it an aggressive expression that reflects Nevera R’s personality.

“The art of designing the Nevera R was about creating perfect harmony between form and function,” explained Heyl. “Every element serves a purpose – from the biplane wing generating downforce to the redesigned air ducts improving cooling. We’re not making separate cars for aerodynamics, design, and engineering. It’s about creating one cohesive package where everything works together to deliver both breathtaking performance and a visual identity that makes you desire it the moment you see it.”

Aero

Aerodynamic enhancements, including the large fixed rear wing and aggressive diffuser, increase downforce by 15% and improve aerodynamic efficiency by 10%. With new Michelin Cup 2 tires, total understeer is reduced by 10%, lateral grip is up by 5%, and the lap time around the Nardo Handling Track is reduced by 3.8 seconds. The car’s forward-thrusting stance is accentuated by 21-inch rear wheels and 20-inch front wheels, featuring a new design new design that visually enhances the length perception of the spokes to make the wheel appear as large as possible. The Nevera R’s performance matches its award-winning design, with 2,107hp, an advanced next-generation Rimac All-Wheel Torque Vectoring system, and a tuned 108kWh battery pack. It accelerates from 0-300 km/h (186 mph) in just 8.66 seconds.

Recognized globally as one of the most prestigious design competitions, the Red Dot Award has been celebrating excellence in product design since 1955. Winning this coveted distinction places the Nevera R among an elite group of products judged to have outstanding design quality and innovation. As a Red Dot winner, the Nevera R will be featured in the Red Dot Design Yearbook, showcased on the Red Dot website, and displayed in international exhibitions, gaining worldwide recognition as a benchmark of design excellence. The design team behind this achievement includes Frank Heyl (Director of Design), Jan Schmid (Chief Exterior Designer), Ignacio Martinez (Chief Interior Designer), Facundo Elias (Lead Exterior Designer), Florian Westermann (Exterior Designer), Max Lördemann (Exterior Designer), and Sabine Consolini (Head of CMF).

A modern tribute arrives in the form of the 750S Le Mans. Revealed in June and capped at 50 examples, this special‑edition supercar wears a new MSO High Downforce Kit for extra grip and lap‑time zeal, echoing the legendary F1 LM that commemorated McLaren’s 1995 triumph.

For the third consecutive year, the track‑only Solus GT will deliver ear‑splitting theatre at Goodwood. The single‑seat hyper‑GT packs an 840 PS 5.2‑litre V10 and tips the scales below 1,000 kg. After winning the 2023 Timed Shootout and thrilling crowds again in 2024—when Mika Häkkinen drove a customer example resplendent in his 1998 MP4/13 colours—the Solus GT returns in 2025 for more dynamic runs.

McLaren’s 750S and Artura “MCL38 Celebration Edition” models will also storm the hill. Limited to nine units apiece, these cars carry an MSO‑curated livery in signature Papaya Orange and Anthracite, released to mark McLaren’s 2024 Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship title.

Finally, 2025 celebrates a decade of McLaren’s adrenaline‑charged “LT” lineage. The global “Celebrate LT” programme, launched in March, has united Longtail owners worldwide. Heritage LT models will appear in the Supercar Paddock and join the festival’s dynamic demonstrations, cementing ten years of McLaren’s most extreme road cars. From groundbreaking debuts to historic icons, McLaren’s Goodwood line‑up promises a showcase worthy of this year’s festival mantra: champions of the past, challengers of the future.

What happens when you pit Italian turbocharged engineering against German naturally aspirated precision in a drag race? That’s precisely what Carwow set out to discover with the Maserati MC20 and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS on the quarter-mile.

The MC20 boasts a mid-mounted 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, producing 630 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox with launch control.

In contrast, the 911 GT3 RS is all about high-revving purity. It’s powered by a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six, delivering 520 horsepower and 465 Nm of torque. Although lighter and more aerodynamic, its lack of forced induction presents a challenge in straight-line acceleration.

In multiple drag runs, the Maserati consistently edged out the Porsche. The MC20 completed the quarter mile in 11.0 seconds, while the GT3 RS followed closely at 11.2. Even in rolling races, turbo power gave the Maserati the upper hand. However, when it came to braking, Porsche’s engineering shone through—the GT3 RS easily outperformed the MC20 in the stop test.

Porsche continues to evolve its iconic 911 lineup with the introduction of three new all-wheel drive models for the 2026 model year: the 911 Carrera 4S Coupe, 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet, and the 911 Targa 4S. These new variants not only bring enhanced performance and expanded standard equipment but also offer greater flexibility and choice for enthusiasts seeking year-round usability without compromising on driving thrills.

Performance and Handling Upgrades

At the heart of each model is the updated 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine producing 473 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque—an increase of 30 hp over its predecessor. This engine, borrowed from the rear-wheel drive Carrera S, is paired with Porsche’s quick-shifting 8-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission and the rear-biased all-wheel drive Porsche Traction Management system. Acceleration is brisk: the 911 Carrera 4S Coupe hits 0–60 mph in just 3.1 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono Package.

Handling receives a serious boost with uprated brakes borrowed from the previous GTS models and improved dampers for better ride quality. Options like PASM Sport Suspension, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), and rear axle steering (standard on the Targa 4S) give these models a wide performance envelope that can be tailored to individual driving styles.

Enhanced Comfort and Standard Features

Inside, Porsche has increased luxury content, making extended leather upholstery standard along with wireless smartphone charging and Matrix Design LED headlights. For added practicality, the Coupe remains a two-seater with optional rear seats at no extra cost, while the Cabriolet and Targa include them as standard.

The new standard Sport Exhaust system with silver tailpipes adds a richer auditory experience, while staggered 20/21-inch wheels and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+) carry over as performance mainstays.

The Targa Legacy: 60 Years of Open-Air Innovation

The 911 Targa 4S arrives with more than just performance—it’s a celebration of heritage. Marking 60 years since the first Targa debuted, the 2026 model stays true to its roots with its iconic wide roll bar and fully automated roof mechanism that opens in just 19 seconds. As always, it provides the airy freedom of a convertible with the comfort and security of a coupe, now further enhanced by standard all-wheel drive and a selection of four roof colors.

Availability

All three models—the 911 Carrera 4S Coupe, Cabriolet, and Targa 4S—will arrive in U.S. showrooms in Q4 of 2025, with pricing to be announced closer to launch.

Ferrari has unveiled the Amalfi, a front-mid-engine V8 2+ coupé that replaces the Roma in the Maranello lineup. The Amalfi blends high performance with everyday usability, redefining the modern gran turismo with a focus on design purity, versatility, and technological sophistication.

Design & Aesthetics

The Amalfi’s design language emphasizes minimalism and sculptural precision. Its front features a bold intake and a long, contoured bonnet housing a 640 cv turbocharged V8. A rear active spoiler, carbon fiber details, and forged wheels enhance both form and function. The launch color, Verde Costiera, reflects coastal vibrancy, emphasizing the vehicle’s elegance and dynamism.

Inside, a dual-cockpit layout envelops occupants in a refined, driver-focused environment. A reimagined steering wheel brings back physical buttons and the iconic start button, while an integrated 10.25” central display ensures intuitive control. High-end materials, contrasting stitching, and a practical 2+ seating configuration make it as luxurious as it is usable.

Powertrain & Performance

At its core lies a refined version of Ferrari’s award-winning 3.9L twin-turbo V8 from the F154 family. Delivering 640 cv at 7,500 rpm, it boasts a redline of 7,600 rpm and features advanced turbo calibration, faster spool-up (up to 171,000 rpm), and lighter components such as redesigned camshafts and engine block.

Paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, performance figures are impressive:

  • 0–100 km/h in 3.3 seconds

  • 0–200 km/h in 9.0 seconds

  • Power-to-weight ratio: 2.29 kg/cv

The exhaust system has been engineered for signature Ferrari acoustics, utilizing a ceramic matrix catalyst and a new bypass valve for adaptive sound profiles.

Driving Dynamics & Technology

The Amalfi introduces an advanced brake-by-wire system and ABS Evo, offering greater stability and control under varying grip conditions. The SSC 6.1 (Side Slip Control) architecture unifies vehicle dynamics, enhancing torque vectoring, steering response, and body control. A new rear active spoiler shifts through three modes—Low Drag, Medium Downforce, and High Downforce—based on driving conditions, delivering up to 110 kg of extra downforce at 250 km/h.

Electric Power Steering (EPS) integrates real-time grip estimation, improving handling on varied surfaces. These systems are augmented by a suite of ADAS features, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, and optional Surround View.

Aerodynamics

Developed through extensive CFD and wind tunnel testing, the Amalfi’s aerodynamics are both refined and purposeful. Front vortex generators, optimized underbody panels, and a re-engineered rear diffuser minimize drag while maximizing stability.

A concealed bypass duct aids cooling and pressure management, while the active rear wing optimizes aero loads dynamically. At the front, side intakes feed the intercoolers, and the splitter improves airflow and brake ventilation.

Infotainment & HMI

Ferrari’s redesigned Human-Machine Interface includes:

  • 15.6” digital instrument cluster

  • 10.25” central touchscreen

  • 8.8” passenger display

Controls are distributed ergonomically across a physical-button steering wheel, improving tactile feedback. The infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto®, and MyFerrari Connect, with wireless charging and a premium Burmester® 14-speaker audio system available.

Interior Comfort

A monolithic dashboard integrates displays and air vents into a single visual element. The central tunnel, milled from anodized aluminum, houses a gated shifter, wireless pad, and secondary controls. Optional comfort seats offer massage functionality with 10 air chambers and active ventilation.

Tyres

Equipped with 20” wheels, the Amalfi uses 245/35 R20 (front) and 285/35 R20 (rear) tyres, co-developed with Bridgestone Potenza Sport and Pirelli P ZERO. This configuration balances grip, agility, and ride comfort.

Maintenance Program

The Amalfi benefits from Ferrari’s 7-Year Genuine Maintenance Program, covering all scheduled servicing globally. Clients are assured that their car is maintained to factory standards by certified technicians using original parts.

Ferrari has unveiled the Amalfi, the long-anticipated successor to the Roma and Top Gear had an early glimpse of it. Named after Italy’s scenic coastal region, the Amalfi is designed to be the brand’s most accessible car—without losing its identity as a thoroughbred sports grand tourer.

Design-wise, the Amalfi modernizes the Roma’s silhouette with subtle aggression. The rear lights are now hidden, the active spoiler is sleeker, and the tail looks more unified. Ferrari’s design chief avoids giving cars a traditional “face,” opting for a minimalist, visor-like front fascia.

The wheels stand out as a design triumph. Milled from a single block of aluminum with a unique Y-spoke pattern, they’re both functional and beautiful—showcasing Ferrari’s engineering finesse.
Under the hood, the Amalfi sticks with Ferrari’s 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8, now producing 640 hp. Paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, it hits 62 mph in 3.3 seconds and tops out at 200 mph.

Inside, the Amalfi reintroduces tactile buttons on the steering wheel and a physical engine start switch—small changes that significantly improve usability. The infotainment system is quicker and easier to use, the interior more spacious, and the materials top-tier.

Lamborghini has added a historic milestone to its motorsport legacy by securing its first overall win at the 24 Hours of Spa. Building on previous endurance racing success—including three consecutive class wins at the 24 Hours of Daytona (2018–2020), back-to-back triumphs at the 12 Hours of Sebring (2018, 2019), and a recent victory at Petit Le Mans—this marks Lamborghini’s maiden victory in the prestigious Belgian endurance classic. It also becomes the brand’s 191st win in the GT3 era and comes just ahead of the Huracán’s successor, the Temerario GT3, which debuts at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 11.

The breakthrough came courtesy of the #63 Grasser Racing Team Huracán GT3 EVO2, driven by Lamborghini Factory Drivers Mirko Bortolotti (2024 DTM Drivers’ Champion), Luca Engstler, and Jordan Pepper. The trio delivered a flawless performance around the challenging 7.004 km Spa-Francorchamps circuit.

Jordan Pepper handled qualifying duties, placing the car 12th in the top-20 Superpole shootout on Friday. However, a penalty for exiting the pit lane too quickly dropped the team to 19th on the grid.

Bortolotti took the start and quickly gained two positions during his opening stint, which followed an early full-course yellow on the second lap. Pepper and Engstler followed with strong double stints, keeping the car in contention through the night. As darkness fell and the race evolved, the #63 crew steadily climbed the order, emerging as serious contenders in the early hours of Sunday morning.

With no rain to disrupt the action, the Huracán GT3 EVO2 showcased its full performance potential. A full-course yellow with just over four hours remaining briefly swung the strategic advantage to the #96 Porsche, which opted to pit and took the lead. But with Pepper and Bortolotti back behind the wheel, the Lamborghini clawed back a 17-second gap through strong pace and clean navigation of lapped traffic. The decisive moment came when the leading Porsche suffered a puncture before its final stop, allowing Bortolotti to reclaim the lead with 1 hour and 48 minutes remaining.

Staying composed under the intense Belgian heat, Bortolotti brought the #63 across the line with an eight-second margin, securing a landmark victory for Lamborghini. Elsewhere, the second factory-entered Huracán GT3 EVO2—driven by Sandy Mitchell, Marco Mapelli, and Franck Perera—also showed strong pace. Mitchell led during his opening double stint, demonstrating the competitiveness of the #163 VSR car. Unfortunately, a refueling system glitch cost them time overnight, and their charge ended prematurely due to a power steering failure just after 4 a.m., despite still running in the top 10.

Meanwhile, the Gold Cup #333 entry from Paul Motorsport and the Bronze Cup #76 car from Barwell Motorsport both endured mixed fortunes but ultimately crossed the finish line, underlining the reliability and endurance capability of the Huracán GT3 EVO2.

Jordan Pepper: “Winning this race makes me extremely proud, I have been an official factory driver with this brand for three years now and  they have  become my family, and to see how much effort has gone into the programme versus some of our competitors, everyone back home in Sant’Agata, is amazing. But I want to thank everyone who gave me this opportunity to join Gottfried and his team, which I thought was a new challenge in my life. We have had heartbreak together but this has made us stronger; this has been the goal that we circled on the calendar, and I am so proud of this. Also I want to thank Mirko and Luca a hundred times because they did an awesome job.”

Luca Engstler: “I have no words, this is the first victory for Lamborghini in this race; I have been working my whole life to be here and celebrate in style like we are doing now. I am super happy and I so thankful to the Grasser team and Lamborghini and all the partners who made it happen.”

After topping Superpole last year at Spa [also with Grasser Racing Team] and now victory in the 77th edition of the 24 Hours, Lamborghini has closed the cycle that already points towards the future with the successor to the Huracán, the Temerario GT3 – which will be presented on 11th July at the Goodwood Festival of Speed – set to make its racing debut in 2026.

Maurizio Leschiutta, Lamborghini Head of Motorsport: “I am very happy, in my first year with Lamborghini, to win the Spa 24 Hours. I want to thank the drivers and the team who have done something truly special, and also to the extended team at Lamborghini Squadra Corse who have done a perfect job over the years. They have brought us to where we are today.”

Rouven Mohr, Chief Technical Officer: This is another dream that is coming true, because we have four fantastic 24-hour races in the world and Spa is one of the most amazing races. And to win it has been fantastic, the job that the whole Squadra Corse team has done has been superb and a good example of a perfect collaboration and I am super proud of this. This is the best way to end the 10-year history of the Huracán GT3, but we still have many more races to focus on and win.”

Nothing less than perfection: that is what is demanded of each example of the Bugatti W16 Mistral¹ before it is delivered to its owner, undergoing an exhaustive and uncompromising quality assessment process. At the heart of that exercise lies a protocol that subjects each handcrafted vehicle to a minimum of 400 kilometers of rigorous evaluation across the diverse landscapes of Alsace, ensuring that every example meets the incomparably high standards of the marque.

Christophe Piochon, President of Bugatti Automobiles

“The W16 Mistral represents the pinnacle of our roadster heritage and the final expression of our legendary W16 engine. Such significance demands nothing less than a constant pursuit of perfection in every detail, throughout the car. Putting every vehicle through a minimum of 400 km of assessment, our evaluation protocol isn’t just about validating functionality, but a confirmation that each W16 Mistral is imbued with the pure essence of quality, precision, and craftsmanship that makes a Bugatti truly extraordinary. It is a process that has been meticulously refined over 20 years; I had the opportunity to help design the 350 km test for the Veyron during its development, and saw it evolve into the assessment optimized for the Chiron and its derivatives. Now with the Mistral, we’re proud to see the continued success of this process – reaffirming the quality and reliability of our vehicles for our customers.”

A 350-kilometer test route through the picturesque Alsatian countryside serves as the perfect amphitheater for evaluating the W16 Mistral’s capabilities. On this carefully curated route, each and every component undergoes individual scrutiny – from the fit, feel, and functionality of features within the cockpit, to the precision of the steering system’s response and return characteristics.

The comprehensive route includes traditional Alsatian villages, winding country roads that showcase the W16 Mistral’s agility, long highway stretches intended to evaluate stability and comfort during sustained cruising, and mountain passes that challenge the powertrain under range of elevation and atmospheric conditions.

Each element of the route has been carefully selected to contribute to a comprehensive driving experience that, as a whole, reflects the full spectrum of real-world scenarios a customer may encounter – from the technical challenge of cobblestone surfaces that can reveal the slightest chassis irregularity, to open stretches where the sublime symphony of the W16 engine reaches its crescendo in the open-air cockpit.

The validation extends beyond mechanical systems to encompass the complete sensory experience. Noise testing occurs across multiple scenarios: evaluation with and without the soft-top roof, analysis of wind and road noise characteristics, assessment of the exhaust system’s acoustic signature, and verification of chassis and tire rolling dynamics.

Even transmission behavior receives dedicated attention, with technicians analyzing gear changes during acceleration, deceleration, and varying load conditions. Every facet of the surrounding environment is also employed in the pursuit of perfection – down to narrow streets lined with ancient stone buildings, which create natural acoustic chambers for Bugatti’s test drivers, using the echo against walls to analyze every nuance of the vehicle’s sound profile.

Only a select few specialists take on the mantle of such a rigorous assessment journey. Currently, just three experts possess the full qualification and dedication required to conduct W16 Mistral quality appraisal – a testament to the expertise required. These master evaluators together represent decades of accumulated knowledge, with each new test driver undergoing an intensive training regime including several supervised test drives alongside senior experts, and fully autonomous assessments encompassing comprehensive sensory analysis.

This human-centric approach reflects Bugatti’s fundamental methodology: ninety percent of quality validation derives from the driver’s personal analysis through sight, sound, and touch. These automotive virtuosos possess the ability to detect the slightest irregular sound, identifying unknown vibrations imperceptible to untrained senses that could indicate developing issues. Their profound mechanical understanding, borne from extensive skill with every component, enables accurate detection and diagnosis of any anomaly.

Each observation is meticulously recorded via Dictaphone during the drive for subsequent in-depth analysis, and when necessary, followed by partial or complete vehicle disassembly. The remaining ten percent of evaluation utilizes sophisticated electronic diagnostics, a combination of Bugatti’s proprietary internal telemetry systems and highly precise data loggers that continuously monitor and record all performance metrics throughout every kilometer of the test drive.

Moving from the open-road to closed-circuit arena, the comprehensive program culminates with high-speed track sessions at the Colmar airfield, where Bugatti maintains an exclusive 1,600-meter partnership facility. Here, emergency braking systems, ESP, and ABS undergo rigorous evaluation at speeds reaching 300 km/h.

For this, the Mistral’s removable roof mechanism demands additional layers of testing – unprecedented in Bugatti’s recent portfolio. Every aspect of the roof’s fit, removal process, and high-speed resistance undergoes meticulous scrutiny. Only with the roof removed can the roadster achieve its top speed, allowing the legendary W16’s 1,600 PS to express itself without constraint, creating an unparalleled sensory experience as the quad-turbocharged powerplant reaches its most visceral crescendo.

The iterative nature of Bugatti’s assessment method ensures absolute perfection. Following the identification and resolution of any irregularities, regardless of how minor, a secondary verification test of typically 50 kilometers or more confirms the effectiveness of all corrections. This process repeats as many cycles as necessary until the vehicle demonstrates flawless performance under every conceivable condition – representing a relentless commitment to excellence.

Philippe Grand, Director of Quality

“Bugatti stands as one of the few manufacturers conducting 100% comprehensive appraisal of every vehicle. Our dedication to this process establishes a true benchmark in the industry. In every aspect of engineering, design, craftsmanship and performance a Bugatti must be incomparable, so it was crucial for us to also develop a testing process so comprehensive that it would be without compromise.”
